:salute: This may be the post of the night! Some apparently like getting their ears tickled more than they hate going 4-8!
..."yall have a real football coach".....
a question way off topic is there a event where one can meet pet take picture with smokey my wife is from long island she has lived here 3 years and has become a vol fan monster (this woman found vol high heel pumps and just learned how to play rocky top on her chello) we are in Chattanooga
Haha, that's very cool, Cooking. Great job turning a Long Islander into a Vol fan!
I think if you go to the Vol Village on campus on the morning of game days, you'll have a pretty good shot of seeing Smokey (and the cheerleaders) up close. The Village normally opens up something like 9 am, and runs until game time. Don't know if there's a "best time" within that window for seeing Smokey or anything.
Good job, again! Long Islanders are awesome people, have had very close friends from Uniondale/Nassau County.
I can't agree with "a ton of time" . One short fall and summer just can't correct 2-3 years of doing little or nothing correctly. Gonna take the better part of two - three years with a lot of good recruiting and weeding of "don't want to or can't" to get this mess fixed.Agreed. Pruitt will have a ton of time to have these guys in better shape with summer workouts plus fall practices. I am not worried. He found out today who is willing to show up and play. He will make adjustments and play the guys that want to actually be on the field.
Callway was impressive if we can get Jennings back to healthy we might have something to look forward to in the WR bunch.
Yep, heard it.
Seems to me, there are three kinds of football coaches:
-- Coaches who know football is a game. These coaches tend to stay at the pop warner and (uncompetitive) high school levels.
-- Coaches who know football is entertainment. These coaches end up being Butch Jones. That's their apex.
-- Coaches who know football is life. These coaches either win championships, or burn themselves out trying.
Seems to me, we now have a coach of the third category. Doesn't necessarily mean we're on the road to championships, but at least championships are a real possibility now.
Maybe that's what Marcus meant. Even if it wasn't necessarily the best venue for saying it.
she is from bay shore as you know they don't have football up there like we do here in the souththanks for the info
