Many people reporting Hurd is now gone (Merged)

It's what happens when you quit. Did you really think most people with an open mind are going to rally around him and his "braveness" for quitting?

First of all, where did I say anything about how brave he was for quitting? Secondly, do you think everyone will criticize Barnett when he "quits" after this year to go to the NFL? What's the difference? Barnett will only be thinking about what's in his best interest when he enters the draft, but I bet people won't be on his case about it.

Two words. Lagarrette Blount.

Lagarrette Blount was a certified tough guy busting people in the mouth and getting kicked off teams, he did not quit, BIG difference. Hoping Hurd is not a quitter, if he does, he goes off everyone's draft board and becomes a free agent at best ... with a hurt spine.

I can't stay up all morning people, somebody needs to get the truth before I eat my cereal and go to sleep!

That's not the same thing

See this is the problem. Swain is always giving himself an out. So he won't look like a fool if Hurd stays. Then, if Hurd IS gone, he can claim insider status. He clearly doesn't know any more than the rest of the "insiders" around here.

BS!

Due to the media and several folks on this board, Hurd has become a distraction to the team. They think they are helping but in reality they have created a divide with all this talk.

If he is still with the team, then someone needs to get the stupidity under control as it will and probably already has undermined the team.

Kamara was given the raw deal in playing second fiddle to Hurd for way too many games. Zero respect for Hurd if he quit. He was given more than enough opportunity.

This should come as no surprise when dealing with this generation. May I remind you that they are also the ones that require "Safe Spaces"...

Football Time in TN Retweeted
SEC Mike ‏@MichaelWBratton 16m16 minutes ago

SEC Mike Retweeted Dan Harralson

@SwainEvent on Jalen Hurd this morning: "Unless something crazy flips in the next couple of hours, he is done (at Tennessee)"

SEC Mike added,
Dan Harralson @danharralson
.@SwainEvent Can you confirm the status of Hurd, is he gone?
Retweeting incorrect information does not make it any more true

Well I hate to see him leave but it might be the best thing for all involved. He really did a lot on the field and with helping recruiting. also is a name at the top of UT record books. So good luck young man

as someone who played here you would think he would have a touch more class about sharing this info.....

if its legit, understood, but until verified why even spread it to the fan base, that he knows will light mattresses on fire and silly things....
smh
:mf_surrender:

Swain is in the entertainment business and it is about ratings for his show. He is NOT journalist.. Not that being an actual journalist counts for anything these days..

What's ironic is that people are saying "Pfft, good riddance. Kamara is a better fit anyway", when Kamara, himself, is a quitter! Did he not walk away from Alabama???

Was that a different situation though? He may not have seen playing time there?

He transferred after the season was over. Huge difference in what he did and the impact it would have on a team

Do you really blame the kid? He's been used as a human battering ram for the past three years. Quitting is never ideal, but with millions on the line, I venture a guess and say most of us would do the same at this point.
