This pretty much sums up the major difference between Denver and the Oilers/Titans. Bud could not figure out Why Houston would not spend 100's of millions to support an 8-8 team every year. Bud Adams is like Derek Dooley; people in TN just blindly support him no matter how average they are.

His point was they only had one receiver; a guy who gets 1000 yards receiving deserves positive credit period. There's a ton of guys who go careers without it (and it's less common than all the RBs each year hitting the number).


The running game was indeed poor mainly because of the line; I dont see why youre bringing that up like manning would be making his decision at all based on it. If so wouldn't he have ended up in San Francisco? They seem to be the best in that area.

says you .the titans are better than the broncos they beat them last year .and Jake locker will take over soon hopefully he will be a good qb. i think that is why the titans only wanted to offer peyton a 2 year deal was cause they didn't want to lose the future. sad day would have wished peyton would have came to the titans sad.Another thing that bugged me is why was he giving duke all the attention he should have been in knoxville just all around disapointed in manning.

Jake has a lot of potential. Its sad Manning didn't come here, Jake would of had a lot of potential growing if we didn't cut him. Yeah, Peyton, don't understand. He had a choice to come to Tennessee for goodness sake. Best of luck to him, but I'm going to laugh when the Broncos miss the playoffs.

Meh, not quite right there.

The city of Houston had still pretty much thought that the astrodome was a great/state of the art stadium. The city, also at this time, was struggling somewhat economically following the US oil collapse of the 1980s. A few years after the team left they realized it was dated (/junk) and gradually stopped using it as much / teams started playing elsewhere (right around the same time).


...and recent record's never been the major/main "new stadium" determinant...the Vikings recently netted themselves a new stadium after what back to back poor seasons? (and while I'm no major fan of bud Adams personally, he started asking for the new stadium when the team had spent the last 7 seasons making the playoffs, going 11-5, 10-6, and 12-4 the last 3 of those seasons. The city of Houston even tried to throw together a $144 mil contribution deal towards a new stadium - as well as $70 mil towards ticket sales once it was announced they were moving.)

I don't care who he plays for, I wish him the best and I will follow him until he retires. Doesn't make me any less of a VOL or Titan Fan.

I hate it for you that do not pull for him because you feel slighted, or your immature, or you cannot cope with reality (his decision/his choice).

I hate it that some of you so called or self proclaimed fans would feel slighted enough to pout and spout over his decision/his choice and choose not to support him in his career over a choice he has made. In doing so, it is quite apparent that some of you have no life.

He gave up a lot to be here and Tennessee and he has given a lot back during his stay here and after he left. When it did not have to do so.

I do hope the Titans play Denver in the playoffs at some point. I like it when someone gets proven wrong on the field of play and not on msg boards, by sports experts or writers or paper.

We have it here with the vols too...alot of people in general hold sports teams kind of too close, some to the point of feeling as though actions relative to said team are almost personal barbs, insults, or attacks to them as well.
