Manning to Denver

LOL...not even close.

First of all, Elway doesn't own his team and nothing he is doing is remotely like Jerry Jones, but feel free to make all the ignorant generalizations you choose

how you figure?

So you both are saying that Elway will work CLOSELY with Manning? Elway's head is about as big as his bank account. I PERSONALLY don't think that Elway will be able to keep his hands out of the day to day workings of the team. That is how I think he is LIKE JJ. 2iron, I know he doesn't own the team, so don't be stupid. I am just saying that I think Elway will want to have his hands in the pie a little more than Manning will stand. Because this hire is on Elway, and, if for some reason the Broncos don't see immediate success, he will be in it up to his manicured eyebrows.

You need to be pissed at Bud Adams. He made it such a circus with all the ridiculous offers, that there was no way Manning was coming here. What Adams doesn't get, was that he didn't need to make Peyton all those crazy offers. I knew he wasn't going to sign with the Titans after the circus began. That's EXACTLY what Peyton didn't want.

Wow, and think of all the suspense you could have saved us by sharing your complete and total knowledge of all things Peyton.

After an obnoxious post like this one 2iron, don't call me an idiot anymore.

I got to say, as a Tennessean, I certainly feel jilted. I mean he was a living legend in this state, and with the opportunity to come back to his roots, he effectively said, "Nah...I'll pass."

Him going to Indy was out of his control, but this time, he had a choice. The reality of it is...he's not a Tennessean...and as such, there is no reciprical affinity for the state. We just got to borrow his services for for 4yrs. That's it. From this point forward, he is just another player in the league, to me.

With all of that said...I think we were in the best shape at QB among the 3 competing teams, and can feel good about the position either way. Let the Jake Locker Era begin!

Well said!

But is it bigger than Peyton's?

I kid, I kid.

I should probably stop that soon.

You quote yourself often? I don't recall many people saying we were going to be in seccg. there has been some unbridled speculation and hope but that is what happens in off season when everyone is 0-0. no reason to squelch it. just go with it and think what you want.

Elway probably wants to get rid of tebow because he is sick of people comparing their fourth quarter comebacks.

Will never be able to root for Peyton in a Bronco uniform. Its a shame

Why not? You can root for PM to do well individually and still root for titans as your team. never have understood how you could root for a team based on one player. What happens when that player retires?

If Manning didnt chose the Broncos for the money, then he obviously didn't pick them pick them bc he thought he could go to a super bowl this year either.

LOL, I know, but it is a good point. And who's big head is it that counts? I would say Peyton on the field and Elway writing the checks. If Elway will JUST write the check and let Peyton be the big head on the field, all will be well in Denver.

Oh, no doubt, but money wasnt the deciding factor...........I mean if people think it was money, then how do you not figure he wouldnt take what the Titans were offering with part team ownership?

Peyton took the bird(money) in hand over a chance to make more later. It's the same decision most people would make, who knows what will happen to the Titans when Bud passes on? They may be sold and moved out of TN for all we know.

Denver 11-5 this season is guess of seasonal improvement Manning makes over Tebow. I wish Randy Moss and Garcon would have waited and went to Broncos then id guess 13-3

sorry but that is completely ridiculous

Why do We follow him the most and the rest of our players not so much? Maybe he just means more to us .We not so much to him.Sorry but u have to see the problem with what he did by picking Denver.

Plan's already in place for one of the presidents or executives to take over for a period of time and then he is to (read: he has to) give ownership over to Bud Adams's grandson when the boy reaches a certain age.

Like most really wealthy or old money families, there are already plans in place as far as these things are to go.

Their schedule is brutal. Road games especially. I was thinking 13-3 to 10-6 settling on 12-4.

Really?

After how moss spent the last year we all saw him play - with 3 different teams mind you - it might be better he doesn't play for team...

For the record, Jacksonville does not have a half-empty stadium, for anyone still believing that. ESPN continues to point at Jacksonville whenever they want to discuss a city that's not supporting its team. Nvm that we have had Zero blackouts in the past two seasons.

The titans is a place where receivers come to die. Fisher or Heimerdinger thought randy was a good run blocker and vy though randy could jump 30 feet in the air. They are to blame. Not moss.

It will probably go as smooth as Robert Irsay's plan to pass the team over to Jim and stay in Baltimore.
