I say 2. The 1st year he had almost 2weeks to recruit. Still doesn't appear to be where we should be after 2 full years.

The year Dooley only had 2 weeks to recruit was his best recruiting class. Each class since has been a little worse.

Manning also said "we win as long as Atlanta doesn't come out in gators uniforms".....seriously, history should tell us not to judge talent or coach off this one game. If we did 98-99 wouldn't exist.

He's had 3 years to get some talent. What do you think is the problem then??

Hmmm how stocked was the cupboard when Dooley got here? I'd say pretty dang empty, three players do no make a team. While everyone here wants to compare to Florida and their coaching changes, even though Florida was left with small fast players they were good players, us on the other hand a a lot of disserters. Dooleys job was and is much tougher, believe it or not coming to Knoxville is not near as exciting as going to a Florida team, plus we only have 1/5 of the recruit base. Players are only wanting to join teams that are doing something, not very often anymore does a 5 star recruit stand up and say I'm going to Tennessee to start a new beginning for this program. So rebuilding with all the blocks can make a house, but if you don't have all the blocks then it's going to take longer. I don't know If Dooley can be the man or not but he needs 5 years to get it going in the right direction. I know this isn't going to be a favorite post but sometimes the truth hurts.

CDD came in with the cupboard bare and he's been recruiting to fill roster NEEDS and getting the best kids he can with the deck stacked against him and he's done a pretty good job at it too.

O line is better and has depth.

WR's are better with depth.

QB has good players for depth.

Some people like our young RB's pretty well.

TE was good until Cam Clear wanted to open a used laptop store.

D line is much better and we finally have some depth.

LB's are better but we still lack enough depth.

D backs are better and we still need more good depth.

Kickers are bad but I'm not sure CDD is cold blooded enough to take their schollies away and send them packing.

Once CDD has enough decent players at every position then he can be alot more selective as Seniors leave and go after more top 4* and 5* players to fill the openings at different positions.

Winning will help recruiting but it's WRONG to think that top recruits will only go to top programs because alot of the best recruits do NOT want to sit the bench for 2 years and wait for their turn in the rotation to get on the field and play.

We are getting a better player roster but it's just not fast enough for OVERexpecting fans.

Not sure exactly why the offense went completely dormant mid way through the 3rd quarter. Some of it was Bray was throwing floaters and just not accurate on some passes. Some our receivers just flat out dropped the ball. On the intentional grounding think Patterson ran wrong route. It was a setback but this team could still be decent and its not time to call a moving van for CDD, not yet anyway. The vultures are circling but if he can only beat the bottom of the SEC after 3 years than maybe it is time. Was really hoping the VOLS would win this one very dissappointed.

I heard that Peyton and Jon are taking over as head co-coaches next year. Peyton will run the offense; Jon the defense.

That's what I heard.....

Our no huddle offense is completely pointless. it does nothing to shake up the defense. it just allows NO time/ball control, and for our defense to be on the field longer and more often

Nb4 Peyton never beat Florida.

Never beat Florida because Spurrier was there. That said Spurrier as a NFL player=Fail NFL coach = Fail
Actually all Florida qbs have failed imo.

Spurrier=A good college player, a good college coach.

Here we go again. Outside of the board's professional opinion, where are we loaded with talent other than WR? If we were as loaded as you say, then when can't we run the football effectively? Or prevent UF from rushing for 300 yards? Coaching can only go so far, at some point talent takes over or lack thereof.

We DID run the ball effectively against Florida (Neal was on his way to 100 yards before Cheney ignored him), that is why so many people are ticked off about the offensive playcalling.

We DO have enough talented players to compete for 4 quarters but they must be properly led.

I want to see more excellent game planning and coaching....how many players do we have to get to see that occur?
