Manning linked to HGH by Documentary (key witness has recanted)

I've read a number of articles regarding this situation, and have come to a conclusion. While I doubt the facts (source) and Al J, If PM does not file a law suit, and "get it on" with these guys, I'll conclude there is/was something to it.

That's a conclusion you might want to rethink. Public figures can never hope to combat everything said about them via the courts.

The fact that the article never actually said, PM was getting the HGH (his wife was named as the HGH receiver), the implication that he was the one actually using the drug is clear. Damage to his reputation should is clear, therefore he should Go To Court, if he does not, many will ask "Why not?".
There is zero facts. Sly is the only source and he said he made the story up. Unless they have another source then it's over. I don't think Peyton needs to spend money on this. He's innocent in my mind.

How much money does this "Sly" guy have? He has recanted. Al Jazeera was on Good Morning America today proclaiming they never implied or intended to allege that Peyton Manning used HGH. They are wanting none of this now. What would Manning sue for? He has received everything he would demand from a suit already. Will reporters lose their jobs? Remember CBS dumping Dan Rather? Bigger fabrications have been reported in the past.

It pisses me off to see this idiot put Peyton's name in this garbage of a documentary! I'm just glad to see TN fans and other sports players, get behind Peyton and back him up. Peyton has never been nothing but a class act in his college and NFL career.

Al-Jazeera America was a good news program in my opinion. They didn't sugarcoat the news or pander to liberals/conservatives like Clinton News Network or Faux news. But then they went off the deep end and tried to tarnish Pey-Pey that's when they lost me. Plus I never understood why they kept an Arabic name in America.

that has nothing to do with credibility. thanks for playing though.

Sure it does...that is why I made sure to use The New York Times as the linked source. It has had its own credibility issues through the years...yet...has been publishing for 165 years this year...Al jazeera America won't make it for 3. Because it didn't have the credibility to build a successful news model.

But...I appreciate your perspective. We need folks like you to be the minority.

Maybe they should have addressed the issues in their own country before trying to solve ours?

How can you give the person that wrote this article credibility when it lumps him in with MLB instead of NFL?
I doubt this story is going anywhere, other than click bait here.

I don't see what difference that would make

I agree it's strangely worded but it goes on to mention Ryan Howard and Ryan Zimmerman in the article.

He played shortstop in HS. Maybe he was juicing then and was secretly married to someone else named Ashley

It's like the MLB is full of bad boys and Peyton is the only NFL player.. I quit watching MLB during the Mark McQuire and Sammy Sosa home run battle. Obvious those guys were juicing and MLB looked the other way.

So what do you think? Peyton innocent? Article never really gets there.

Anyway, there is a LOT of ambiguous. Focus on the word MUCH. Much doesn't mean all, and it cherry picks words surrounding MUCH to imply things that bring drama to the story.

Couple of examples:
Sly, who later recanted much of what was attributed to him, is accused of helping ferret the drugs to players through his employer, the Indianapolis-based Guyer Institute.

through his lawyer, former U.S. Solicitor General Ted Olson, said that much of the information was true and that critical sourcing for the documentary provided by the pharmacist Charlie Sly has been accurate.

And lastly, this sentence can be interpreted as, well, we really don't know what the hell was revealed:

Areas of the court papers have been redacted, making it unclear exactly what Olson revealed about the Manning disclosure.

Are you saying that baseball players wouldn't get HGH from the same place NFL players would?

Not saying that. Why not lump him in with other NFL juicers though? Are their any other NFL juicers, or is Peyton on an island here? That's what the article implies.

Next question is, where is this story going? Do you think the NFL career of Peyton is tarnished by him Juicing? What if it's fake news?

I believe that well over 90% of NFL players take some form of PEDs. There is no way the natural human body can take that kind of abuse over a 4-6 month stretch without some help IMO.

So, it is likely that PM did too, and this is much about nothing.
