The article calls out multiple issues with the claim and cites the retraction. Not sure what the problem is?

The pharmacist making the claims was a student at the Guyer Institue, not even an employee. On top of that he is now saying he was a student there in 2013, not 2011. And never even saw Manning. It should be real easy to determine when he was actually interning there. If it was indeed 2013 this is a complete non-story.

This does demonstrate how easy it is to smear someone... especially when it's an athlete who is going to have many people eager to believe it. Fans who are of a mind to dislike and believe the worst in Manning anyway (such as Patriot fans and fans that don't like Tennessee) are in a celebratory mood over an allegation that even the accuser has now denied.

OP, please edit your post to include the article by ESPN.

It basically throws a giant bucket of water on the whole fire. The guy didn't work at the Guy Institute when PM was a patient there. That alone should tell us that it was all a hoax. How could he have sent Ashley Manning drugs if he didn't even work there at the time.
