Manning linked to HGH by Documentary (key witness has recanted)

What's absolute about " linked"? That's about as loose a journalistic accusation as there is.

It's very simple.

"Manning linked to HGH." That's an absolute. Someone has proof.

"Manning allegedly linked to HGH because someone said so." Not so absolute. A lot more fitting to the current situation.

Al Jazeera? A solid source? They are a source for pro-islamic jihadist rhetoric and regularly air anti-American and anti-western culture propaganda. They more than just have radical viewpoints and bare an agenda which has been sympathetic to both Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

They at least partially blamed the shootings in San Bernardino on one of the Jewish victims who they tried to portray as having provoked the female attacker.

Sorry, but I will have to hear this verified by another source before I believe a word of it.

Yup. Hope its Not true.

I'm with Butchna on this.
Yes I love Peyton but I don't care if it was Brady. Major injury and given the year? It obviously wasn't performance enhancing. He probably shouldn't have given our over sensitive world but won't effect my long term view of him. And it would not of anyone else either. If he was "using" during a superbowl etc... yes. For that year? nah.

Amen...this was beyond football. The man was fighting for full function of his body. This wasn't Barry Bonds going for a record his natural skillset would never have enabled. IF he used HGH? Smart move.

Again... That doesn't seem all that sinister to me. If I was high profile, I'd probably take any opportunity to be incognito.

I would have used the name "Phillip Fulmer" no way anyone would think he want to get bigger

What part? My not giving a crap or the lack of competitive advantage?

The competitive advantage part. IF he were taking them and playing, how do you absolutely judge they didn't give home a competitive advantage? Hopefully this is all BS, but initially it doesn't look great.

I know. It was banned for being a performance enhancer which it obviously wasn't given the year in question.
But wait and see, the only people that make a bigger deal out of it than those digging for dirt..... The VN drama club.

I think the portion LINKING the gabby "source" to FRAUD should have been referenced in the title. :)

Nothing would surprise me. Peyton has done enough good in the world that it wouldn't really change my opinion of him.

The guy with the "inside info" driving this story released a video recanting the accusations. He then took down the video.

For any non-NFL fans, here is why it would not be "performance enhancing"....

After a May 23 neck surgery, Manning could not use the Colts' facilities for practice and workouts due to the NFL lockout. Reluctant to have witnesses to his recovery, he used the Colorado Rockies baseball team's trainers at Coors Field in Denver. Manning was unable to complete his throwing motion, and his arm strength had significantly diminished. Based on an MRI, doctors told him in the late summer that he needed spinal fusion surgery and that at his age they could not guarantee his return to the NFL.[177] On September 7 the Colts officially ruled Manning out for the season

Anyone can throw out an accusation. Now do you understand? Guy has backtracked and PM has responded that it is garbage but you guys enjoy the drama. I am out of it.

I don't enjoy any of it. In fact, the first thing I said was that this didn't even register with me.

It's a message board where somebody shared something from a reputable news source. Discuss it or ignore it. I don't care.

VN stages of denial:

1. Discredit article
2. Discredit OP
3. "Peyton had no choice"

But, I still don't think it's that big a deal.
