It was said during the Vols game this weekend that Archie Manning asked Leak to come to qb camp. Leak went to the camp and said that Peyton showed him some things and it really helped. ????????
That bothers me a little.

I think it is fine it bothered you. I found it a little strange myself, but I am so pro orange my opinion is slanted.

It's not like he gave him the Tennessee playbook.

The Manning camp is simply a camp to help quarterbacks be better quarterbacks.

For what it's worth, Peyton actually personally came to UT and worked with Ainge, so that should make all involved feel better.

He is a stand up guy. If this is a true story I don't think Manning is staying up nights becuase he is worried if it bothers some Vol fans he helped out a fellow athlete who happens to play for the Gators.

I think that is exactly right. Maybe they just get along well and maybe Manning just wants to help out someone in whom he sees some potential. These guys share the common experience of having tremendous pressure put on them week in and week out. A hundred thousand people every single weekend are glued to their every move in person, plus millions more on television. I see no reason why one -- who is not competing against the other -- would not find some comfort in the camaraderie.

I heard that Manning didn't actually watch Leak throw, they just ate a lot of beef jerky and watched Chuck Norris movies in hopes of improving Leak's toughness.

You don't see Ray Lewis working with linebackers from FSU. You don't see Ed Reed working with Gator DBs. You don't see Clinton Portis working with VA Tech running backs.

Good to see someone who understands what the Mannings are all about.

Maybe none of them had the busienss savvy to run a side business as such. It's Archie's right. Ole Miss grad? It's a developmental camp. If any of the UT QB's want to attend, they can do so as well. I could think of better camps than from Clinton Portis anyway. Imagine the fallout at UM knowing Archie's camp helped Ainge.

I went 10 minutes yesterday without seeing a Manning in an NFL commercial and I thought something was wrong. I even saw Mama Manning on CBS this Morning last week pimping Sprint cell phones. I don't know that there's anything wrong with that, but I think they are starting to make George Foreman look bashful.

With those two, I would figure The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast would be more likely viewing.

Look on the bright side, maybe he taught him how to choke in his biggest game.

There's actually something wrong with this?? Is there confirmation they even charge money for profit or to atleast break even on expenses. They've all graduated. If they want to run a non-discrimnitory camp, so be it. It may be free. How would you then feel what they are about. They are good people. With the hourly rates lawyers charge us commoners, should you be judging what others are about.
