Why trim the fat?
Because they need to lose some fat. ;) I would like to see a scenario where w team must win a minimum of 70% of their regular schedule to qualify for bowls. Like a lot a things the bowls have been watered down. I don't want to see a 5-5, 6-6 team get a participation trophy.

LOL people really have no idea what to think about JG and Tennessee. ESPN has us winning 3 games and this dude has us as the 3rd best in the SEC. Good grief.
Yep, it’s been a while since we’ve played an elite team, last was against Bama last year and we competed. If we can come out and beat Georgia after Missouri then we’ll shoot up the rankings

I don't think it hurts really, bowl games are like a paid for mini vacation to these college kids, I see no problem with them getting to have a little fun regardless of what their record was in the regular season. Only the playoffs matter now so if we're not there I'm happy whenever we get to go to a bowl, regardless of our record. This covid season bowl games are being used simply to give some teams another xtra game on their schedule I believe.

I hear you on participation trophies but for my own selfish part, I like watching football in Dec and Jan. I suspect many of the kids who play may also. I dont think anyone mistakes the toilet bowls for a big 6 but it probably has a big impact on those players. This is especially so in the mid majors who are not NFL factories. A bowl IS their big show.

I don't see how the existence of the Bahamas Bowl waters down the Sugar Bowl. I think everybody knows what the lower-level bowls are; nobody thinks that the winner of one of them is some great team.

As long as there is demand for college football (and in the part of the calendar, there will be), they'll be played.

Lol no we didn’t, we were down 15 in the 3rd quarter when JG fumbled. We could have possibly ended up winning the game, but we by no means whatsoever “had the game won”. That’s ridiculous.
yes sir we did. we were manhandling that Alabama team and laying the woof on defense. Mack was in and they had no momentum

I think we really have a great team! Plus a great coaching staff. We will get better as season unfolds. We have to become a more physical team. Pruitt understands that! Let’s see how we develop and get better before we all judge the team and coaches
