Mandalorian and Grogu

My kids have watched the new trailer at least 3 times a day since it dropped.

We decided to rewatch to whole series this weekend. Forgot how brutal Boba Fett was when he showed up.

Heading into the S2 finale this week.

my biggest complaint is that they still have not made Grogu's movements seem natural. still way too jerky/unlife like. yeah he is "young" but he moves more like a muppet and once that was in my head it hasn't left. every time he jumps around I just see a muppet being physically tossed by the puppeteer.

I agree and so far it just looks like a long episode, not a movie. Hopefully they're holding out on the good stuff.

Given the source material for this movie IS a TV show, what could they have done in the trailer to NOT make it seem like an episode?

Maybe have done better with Grogu, for starters. It just didn't have that big Star Wars feeling to me from other Star Wars trailers. Nothing epic. I guess that's the state of Star Wars right now. The falling walker off a cliff is about the best thing I've seen.

I really want to see some cooler stuff since it's a movie.

The Grogu animations have always looked off despite liking the show so I get that. Other than that, it looks like a good summer blockbuster. However, I get others criticism.

About to finish up Boba Fett. I actually like this one a lot more the second time around. Never hated it but I remember thinking the pacing was very slow. I’m still not sure the flashback narrative was the best way to tell the story but I do like how they developed Fett into more of an anti-hero.

The episode with the teenagers on hover Vespas was the worst. Plus some of the early fight sequences werent very good. The best episode was the one with Din Djarin.

I hated the Mods the first go round. Still don’t really like them but they bothered me less.

They are finally cranking up the marketing. I’ve been suprised at how many people have said they didn’t even know this was coming out.

This is a horrible movie. I hope it fails epically and they need to shelve Star Wars. It needs a complete reboot. Disney has destroyed the Star Wars brand

Oh you already saw it? That’s weird, I thought it wasn’t coming out for 2 more weeks. 🙄
The 2nd season was rough. The 3rd season was horrible. I don't see it getting any better it's going to be another disaster for Star Wars. It needs to be so they can fix this crap Financial style. There's so much apathy alin the Star Wars universe, it's sad

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's going to be a failure when it hasn't released yet. This is a fresh take on the Star Wars universe and I'd have to admit it's interesting and entertaining. I'll agree about season 3 being below average, but 1 and 2 in comparison were great.

I'm not about to write it off as I can't wait to see it.

I agree with you regarding season 3 but what was wrong with season 2?? I thought it was as good as season 1.

Also, the reason Im hopeful is because Kathleen Kennedy is gone and John Favreau and Dave Filoni are in charge of Star Wars now. Also, the new Darth Maul series is a banger!

I rewatched the whole series last month with my kids. While S3 may not have been AS good as 1-2, it’s still pretty good. If you go back and binge (including the Boba episodes) you will see how they actually set up so much for S3.

There was only one episode that was pretty boring but kinda necessary for the larger story. That was the Coruscant episode. I know people complained about the Jack Black/Lizzo episode but I thought that was just fun filler.
