IT IS ONE FREAKING GAME!!!!!

GET OFF THE LEDGE, SUPPORT YOUR DERNED FOOTBALL TEAM, and the coaches, and the program as a whole.

You are either a VFL, or you are not. Losing sucks. Losing to a rival in a game that matters sucks more.

But it is not the end of the world, or the end of the season.

Spend you 24 hours complaining, but the whole "Im done for the year" BS should be left for people like Arkansas, or Auburn, where the fans have no class. I'll check back with yall in a day or so, I hope you recover personally, and get back on your bandwagon. Youve got a pretty good team. I will be pulling for them the rest of the year.

I know. "Shut up Bill".

Im shutting up.

I agree with this 100%!!

I hate that you guys won, but I did enjoy meeting some of the Gator fans that were in Knoxville this weekend.

For those of you from campus, thanks for bringing the nice scenery with you. Sorry for the ones I talked into wearing that UT stickers.

Freakin gator fans have no respect for the home team - being us last night.. we had a player down and all those people could do were their chant while that sad pep band played.. then when anything that meant something to our school ws played on the jumbotron, they did their best to drown it out... along with not winning, our frustration level was over the top.. we'll pull for anyone in the sec but fl.. arrogant and over rated.. We will support our VOLS and we are UT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to UF as a freshman *the school I loved since I was 8. Walked on to Football, got my ass kicked for 3wks, broken kneecap. Back into the marching band where I belonged (was on a music scholly)

Drank my way out of town.

Went to MSU (Where I grew up) as a Sophomore.

Moved here to TN almost 6 years ago, my kid goes to UT.

I think that is pretty fair. Ive never been a vol hater, but never envisioned myself being a Vol FAN either. Well, yall have been winning my over. I dont think that is a bad thing. Im nothing special as a person, but if you can win over a person like that, thats pretty cool.

Yeah, it's very reasonable. And you've always been a reasonable poster on this board.

Hard times around here, I guess. A lot of wounded animals.

I'm sure it is easy but life isn't always easy. The same lesson that the coaches are trying to teach this young team is the same lesson that this fanbase needs to learn.

I hate this loss just as much as anyone but the reality is that my flags are still on the car and the front of the house, my blood still runs Orange, and there's gonna be a football game next Saturday. In fact there will be 10 more this year.

(In before "truefan" alert)

+1

Thats all Im talking about. :good!::good!:

Good game Bill. One day we'll hire a real SEC caliber coach and maybe then we'll give you a game. By all means keep coming back every year and giving us pats on the back until we do. It really does make us feel better.....

This thread has provided a small bit of sanity in a sea of bat sh*t crazy.

I appreciate that, and will shuffle off before I'm pulled into the morass again.

I wasnt there, but I will take your word for it. There are some true idiots out there in every fanbase. Ive always believed that to be about 5%. When a team puts together a stretch of winning seasons (and Im not rubbing anything in) the bandwagon starts to fill up with people who are only there because they want to be attached to a winning team, and not because the love the school or have some attachment to it themselves.

Those are the fans that are the worst. I hate them. And they are the fans that are usually the loudest braggarts during wins, and the biggest complainers when they lose.

Love your school for what it is for, be proud of it, and cheer yer everloving ass off for your teams. (not just football!!)

yall are alright. Ive found a lot of great, passionate Vols fans that absolutely hate the gator side of me, but realize that I am about more than that in life.

I really like you folks. I work with a few Vols fans that I cannot deal with, but that is because they are ignorant people, not because they are Vols. They just carry their ignorance into their fandom.

There are an awful lot of great people on this board and Im thankful for the chance to converse with yall here. (and I promise Im not BSing you!!!)

My cousin was up from Gainesville for the game. He has a bad nerve in his back and cant walk very well, so he had his scooter for the game. Someone put a Vols sticker on his scooter while he wasnt looking.

They had a great time, and were treated well by the vols fans. He got a lot of handshakes and "Go Vols" before the game. :good!::good!:

Not being satisfied with our continued lack of success on the football field is allowed. I looked it up and we were in fact good at one time...for many many years.

I was being a little sarcastic there Bill. I'm getting old though and more apathetic to the situation every year. I just don't get as worked up anymore. Getting used to losing to the Gators, Dawgs, Bama and anyone else worth a damn in the SEC. It just doesn't sting quite like it used too.

Being pizzed off and jumping up and down mad is expected it. I get there all the time. Are you forgetting that we once had Ron Zook as a coach. And at Mich State we had John L Smith. Ive seen disappointment and pizzed off up close and personal.

Still my teams.

Oh, yeah, I knew how you meant it. Im just saying that yall are good people, and you have a great fan base.

And again, I really was not trying to rub anything in here, or make yall feel like I was boasting or anything.

We've all been there before.
