Man I'm going to miss Jennings...

I'm going to miss Jennings and what a roller coaster this young man has experienced. The highs of 2015-16--things looking very bright then totally implode into the depths of what has truly been the worst years in TN football history. I honestly didn't expect him to have this good of year and considering our QB situation--it's pretty amazing he's 230yds or so from a 1000 yd season w/two games left. I really hope he gets there somehow, but regardless, it's been one heck of a season for one of our most beloved players. The catch against GA in 16' with Vern exclaiming "Jauan Jennings!" was forever etched into my kid's memory. The juggling TD catch to help beat Fl and the countless times he just wills his way to make a positive play with nothing more than pure grit and effort. It has truly been a great thing to watch. I hope they can finish strong to send JJ and these seniors out the right way. GBO 🍊

I am gonna miss that guy!

Jennings is my favorite Vol of all-time. Yeah, even more that Manning. You would be hard pressed to find someone, on the offensive side, that wants to play as hard and seeks to punish people who want to tackle him.

Jennings is a very good football player, maybe even great, but, there have been many, many great offensive players play for Tennessee Volunteers, many

JJ is good................but not Al Wilson good.

I think Al Wilson was one of the best players to play on the hill, but if Jennings was on those same teams he might be regarded in the same way. May be any way. Although if he were on those teams in the late 90's he would have definitely been a safety. Can you imagine Al Wilson with Jennings and Grant behind him?

I remember Teez Tabor retweating (I dont do twitter so hopefully thats correct) after the game when a reporter/fan said Jalen slipped and thats the only reason he beat him........HELLO, thats what happens when you get your ankles broke. You slip, fall down, etc. lmao. Dude is an arrogant SOB. I think now, or last year, he was the worst rated corner in the league.

Yes it is sad to see him go after this season, he is a great athlete - very versatile in what he can do on
the field, he makes the game fun to watch, like Cordarrelle Patterson - when he gets the ball it's a possible play maker

Next year, he will actually get paid to do it. Barring injury, I feel confident if he goes to a team with a decent QB that he will be a candidate for rookie of the year.

He's proven he can get it done no matter the QB.

Getcha some of that Jalen Tabor! Classic...

Has he legally changed his last name to Jennings yet? Since he is playing for the niners, I kind of hope Jauan gets picked up by another NFC west team. But if he goes to the Packers, I will quit being mad about them letting Cobb go.

Personally, I am glad Coach Fulmer and Coach Pruitt gave JJ a second chance. JJ is a great example of a person (player) that picked up the pieces, did all that was required of him, and moved forward in a positive manner. Great job!
I would like to think that guys like JJ, Bituli, etc. might still be in regular contact with Banks, and giving Big Bro wisdom that could help him.

Maybe not ... but possibly best example of a competitor we've had since AW.

yea, but let's not get clouded by the "newest" things. Their are several examples of "competitors" in the last 20 yrs. But, JJ is the best example in the last 6/7 that I could come up with. And good for him. He obviously has had some obstacles.

For me, JJ will always be remembered for this catch. It drove a stake into the uga fans, in their stadium, and ensured we never again have to hear that drunken-sounding mushmouth munson and that ridicoulous 'hobnail boot' crap before a Tennessee uga game ever again:

I’m not sure if this made TV but on the Jumbotron at some point in that same game he was in the middle of the defensive huddle during a stoppage in play yelling and hyping them up and encouraging them. We’ll miss his leadership next year a lot
I didn't remember this until you mentioned it but it was right after one of our first few drives and he either fumbled or tipped a ball that led to an INT. It felt like the air was about to be let out of the stadium and they showed that on the jumbotron and the place went insane. Thank you for jogging that memory.

Amen. I love how when he did get kicked off the team, he said he never once even thought about playing for anyone else. True V4L right there, and one of my (and I'm sure a lot of other folks) alltime favorite players. He is one that always has given his all for Tennessee.

Obviously we have a lot of competitors on every team of ours, or they wouldn't be on the field.

But, if anybody has a specific example of one of our footballers, since Wilson, who has exemplified "that dawg" in him for scrappin for every yard, wantin the ball with game on the line, AND making those winning plays, than Jennings, then please name your candidate and we can discuss. Until then ...
