Well respected, innovative, offensive minded coach that’s had tons of success that gets fired by a university too spoiled to understand how good they really had it.

Wherever Gus lands will be lucky to have him.

I’d hire him right now at Tennessee (maybe even as a OC)... he’s 68-35 at Auburn and would immediately make us better.

Nope, I am not okay with losing. I just can't get balled up over a team firing their coach because they might hire someone before we do. Especially when Fulmer has already said Pruitt isn't getting fired this year. Does anyone think we are so special that no coach is going to take the Auburn job because we might ask them in a year or two? We have Pruitt because no ELITE coach we approached wanted the job. I can still remember when we were on an 8 game winning streak with Pruitt and his staff. Most of the posts were WOW we have a winner, heck we might be back. Then we lose some games. A couple of them we should have won but players made mistakes, weren't on the same page on defense a couple of times, not to mention JG was still QB, we had some penalties that stop drives, and then there were the turnovers. We are not good enough to overcome all that and win all the games we wanted to win. It happens. But, to say we are not better than we were 3 years ago is just stupid. We look like an SEC team now. 3 years ago my local High School team was bigger than most of our O line.
I do think Pruitt is in over his head. He could be a decent HC someday but that would take time and Vol fans are tired of waiting and that is including me. I guess I am just more rational than many on here. The is sky not falling. We will be a much better team next year. Heck, we are a better team than we played most of the time this year but mistakes killed us. JMHO
