Malpractice use of TOs

Shouldn't be, but this is his MO. Hover around .500 most of the year and then make conference tournament runs. If he wasn't a local boy, married to a WKU alumnus he would've been run off.

Another win or 2 will help but I understand your thinking for sure

WKU coming on

Think your coach is safe now

Yes he has done a hell of a job with this team as Rick has done with the Vols. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Just hope both coaches can carry this over into the next season.

WKU and UT are sort of mimicking each other right now.

Side note: Jabari call my attention to this in one of our conversations today. Several teams that recruited him and that he turned down are going to the dance. Florida Gulf Coast, UNCashville, Monmouth, Chattanooga and UNCWimbleton.

He's safe as is, I imagine. Make the NCAAT and there's no way he goes anywhere. Would be extremely hard to fire a coach with 3 NCAAT appearances in 5 seasons. I just wish we had better regular season results. Im tired of seeing mediocre records and attendance has been pretty dismal the last few years. MTSU used to be an annual sellout; this year there was probably 4-5k out of 7,500 seats.

Heard some fans earlier this year said he needed more time to implement his system and players. He's in his 5th year and was on staff as an assistant for 3.5 years prior to taking over, how much more time would he need? The defending of Harper is ridiculous at times.

Dang I had no idea he had 2 tourneys in past 4 years

Yes he is safe for sure then

First 2 years. Won the play in game, as a 16 seed, with the largest comeback in NCAAT history. Down 15 at the under 4:00 TO and won in regulation. Then lost to champion UK by 15.

Second year, as a 16 seed, had a lead vs KU the whole game and finally lost by 7. He's a hell of a motivator come tournament and underdog time. Just can't sustain it all year.

Oh Lawd! I can't deal with another coaching change. Lol. Just kidding. I have never met this coach and I don't know much about him. I know both assistants and I'm giving Harper the benefit of the doubt. I hope he will improve with the implementation of his system utilizing what he has and is bringing in for next year. Looking at who's coming back Im excited going into next season.

IMO, WKU has shifted their focus to football and as long as we keep winning there, the measuring bar for "success" in basketball will be lower than it was 10-15 years ago. A 15-15 record 10 years ago would've had the natives going crazy. Now days it's disappointing but not unacceptable. They should be in the upper tier of CUSA next year.

I certainly hope so!

NCAA violations?

I saw a tweet that made me think something behind the scenes may have happened

Reading between the lines and the vagueness coming from the WKU boards it's sounding like an academic issue. Potentially knowingly playing ineligible players.

It will never end unless the NCAA starts ruining more programs like they did ours.

If you let scum like Haith and Tyndall simply migrate to different jobs it will never end.

First offense 3 year suspension. Second, you should be out of the game for good.
