Can someone explain how we are going to sign all these players? I haven't seen an explanation even though I'm sure someone has. Thanks, and I'll hang up and listen.

I don't know all the details as to how they're going to do it, but all I can tell you is that Butch "gets it" :) and he knows all the loopholes to make it work.

Butch has stated that he will sign 35 if he possibly can, that a detailed strategy is in place to do so, and that we will officially have 14 early enrollees. The last statement was prior to Josh Malone's commitment. I believe that you can anticipate a full class of 25 signees, plus five of the early enrollees back-counted against last year's class, and another 4-5 gray- and/or blue-shirt commitments.

That's a pretty good guess at it I think. Then Butch really does get it, because we need depth NOW. Next year's recruiting class doesn't have to be as full, because our team will be a little more full.

I'll be glad here in a couple of years when we aren't playing walk ons and instead are playing 3, 4 and 5 star recruits.

Plus with only being able to sign around 18 or 20 next year Jones will be able to cherry pick a little more.

From what I have heard/read, the SEC has their own recruiting counts (I believe it is set at 30). So, If we sign 35 this year, then that will take off 5 for next year (for the math majors, that is 30-5=25). Basically, that would mean that we could only sign 25 next year.
