Foreman is a good athlete with plenty of speed. What has set him back is he didn't really have any coaching until he got to UT. As someone stated above, the fundamentals. The high school he came from probably has the worst defensive backs coach of any high school in the state.
Watching the replay of the game. No one on our team appears as in over their head as Malik Foreman. Stating the obvious based on his play this year, I know. You could put a highlight tape together of just him getting burned deep, missing tackles, getting juked/stiff armed, etc. Kid is absolutely not an SEC player. Cannot wait until Gaulden is healthy again and we can recruit some more secondary talent. It's sickening seeing Foreman looking like a 15 year old in this UGA game
E. Moseley is also not very good at all (again, it's been obvious all year). He was burned a few times also, and isn't physical at all.
Seems like Cam is playing NOT to get hurt for the draft and it shows............as he has been beat and missed a lot of tackles in the open field
You live in Kingsport? I remember Malik playing QB, but did he ever play on the defensive side ?
Absolutely stupid post.
And in response to him being burned, it happens as a corner. The good ones just get burned less often. 1 on 1, the reciever should win every time. Take last nights touchdown against him as an example; he was in good position and made a good play on the ball. It happens.
But to say he is playing to not get injured is beyond ridiculous.
He played QB in middle school and a little in the 9th grade. On varsity he played receiver and defensive back going both ways. Three games into his senior season the starting QB went down and they moved him to QB. He continued to go both ways hardly ever coming off the field. He is a very good athlete but was just so far behind in coaching. I'm not to sure the DB coach at Tennessee is the type that can take a "raw guy" and coach him up. I think he was taught a lot of bad habits in high school.
