Making the Right Hire

Ehh, those time are changing. You do need good defense, but a team like Tennessee and the offense they run can be number 20 or 30 in the nation in defense and be in the hunt for a natty.

No doubt about it. All we need is a good D. With this Offense our D doesn't have to be great. A top 30 D will get us to Atlanta.

We aren't getting to Atlanta. Pump the brakes. We will be at best a 10 win team and at worst an 8 win team. And either will be ok. As the program has hit a huge restart.

Wow, the Journey song got me, LOL! It actually fit the video very well. The only part of the video that seemed out of place was the Manning/Kent footage. The rest of the video was focused on the now, which is the right thing to do. The Manning footage has nothing to do with us now and didnt really need to be there.

That footage seems to be portraying a comparison, to

strike/score fast (proper play-calling)
smart, capable qb(s)
competent/open receivers

There's plenty of footage from last season that exemplify that though. We didnt need to reach back to the pre ".com" era to find examples lol.

You said the footage has nothing to do with us now, so apparently the Department thinks it does (just as you think last year's does).

That is what I have had in my mind, and if you look at how well the defensive side has been recruiting then that may not be too far off.
I'd say another two years and it'll be a real possibility if not an expectation. Granted that's if things keep going good and we are on the up and up still.
