Stealing Candy

:disappointed:

Beautiful, make a political statement by upsetting babies. When someone calls you on it, try to get them fired.

"It's much ado about nothing," said CalArts professor of art and photography Jo Ann Callis. "Jill was trying to create a metaphor between a child crying, looking desperate, and the times. It's a perfectly logical thing to do. She should just have lied," Callis said with a laugh, "about how she did it."

Classic.

If you really want to make babies cry, tell them about W's policies and the poor impact they're going to have on their future.

Uh, I think that was her point. And as GAVol says - pure idiocy.

Her point maybe, but not her tool for tears.

Elise stood shirtless on a wooden box, her mom just feet away, Greenberg behind her lens. An assistant handed Elise a lollipop; Knebel took the candy away. The wailing and the shoot lasted 20 or 30 seconds, Knebel said. Elise "sniffled a little" afterward, but then she got multiple lollipops in trade for the stolen one. These days Elise doesn't remember it happening.

Wow! A 3-year old doesn't remember this happening. I thought the touchy-feeling crowd would think this will cause severe emotional problems years from now that only years of therapy will reveal

If you really want to worry about little children being emotionally scarred, think of the ones with bombs falling or going off around them everyday.

Just a little sarcasm - pointing out that the same people who worry about emotional scaring blow it off when it fits their political agenda.

My guess is that if this were animals, the PETA folks would be all over them.

Personally, I don't think this will result in any emotional problems but it's ironic that inflicting discomfort is justified to make a political point.

That's the current administration's bread and butter right there.

Or the ones being extracted and disposed of as medical waste. Maybe we need them for the Family Ties reunion.

Ah, but a cell grows up to eat a sucker. Cells disposed of through liberal means never get a chance to eat that sucker.

A democratic Middle East and a wealthier and economically healthier America than has ever been (thanks to leverage.) Sounds like a scary future to me too.

Oh, I wasn't aware that the Middle East was all democratic now.
