My boss has worked in Iraq, Afghanistan, all over the US, and in other austere environments around the world.

Guess which state he said is worse than anywhere else he's ever been? Oklahoma.

Having driven through both Kansas and Oklahoma on my way to Colorado a couple weeks ago, let me be the first to say that this is wrong. Oklahoma at least has a few geographically interesting places. Kansas is shrouded in misery, corn, and dirt. Look at Kansas City, Missouri, even the cities are slowly trying to escape Kansas.

As a vol in Texas, I do get into Oklahoma on occasion. Pretty diverse from the minor mountains in Tulsa area to the river valleys and the plains. One thing: it can get OMG cold and hotter than hades hot.
