Curious but True: Oklahoma's helmets have an outline of their state on the back, with the word HOME inside.

One presumes it will be helpful should a player get separated from the team after an away game.

Okay, now I feel terrible. Had no idea. My apologies to any who saw my feeble attempt at humor and took offense. Certainly did not mean to make light of that. Was thoughtless and careless of me.

I'd make fun of the general intelligence, cultural awareness, and social responsibility of the Oklahoma fan base, but after seeing their "Tennessee will go faggy (sic) on us Sept. 12" thread I realized I didn't need to. It's not as much fun calling a fan base classless, tasteless, ignorant, backwards, ridge-runnin' hillrattified asshat idiots when they're so darn determined to prove that themselves. About the best thing I can say is that someone managed to spell tampon right in their "Coach Jones" thread although I highly question the arbitrary and ungrammatical use of random capitalization in 'Used Tampons', unless of course that's a proper noun and the name of some backwoods, tumbleweed-ridden, one-dead-horse dying ghost town in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma that I am unaware of. Which is, of course, possible.



All that aside, I have traveled THROUGH Oklahoma a lot, and TO Oklahoma a couple of times, and I can only assume that the overall population of that state, which I found to be very nice, intelligent, and interesting people, don't have the misfortune of posting on that Sooners forum.

North Dallas I am not at all butt hurt over anything I saw on this thread. The entire purpose of this thread has no bearing on the game Saturday! I don't deny chest pounding and maybe crowing a bit, but then this kind of thread lends itself to this kind of talk, doesn't it? Oklahoma has our fair share of idiots and I suspect Tennessee does as well. I admire this site and wish we had a reciprocal site. You guys seem to talk excellent football whereas most of the OU sites do not. I don't generally spend a lot of time on forums, but I am excited about coming to Knoxville this week and thought I would give your site a visit. It seems to me you took exception to my post more so than any other Tennessee fan. Maybe it's the Texas thing??
