Zae Dobson, murdered Fulton football player.
Zaevion Dobson

Ah, thanks Turtles and Bob.

Yeah, that's a really cool idea. I don't know if they still do letters and letter jackets in colleges these days, seems like it has fallen out of favor to some extent.

But if they do, heck yeah, at the end of the season, invite Zae's family in and present them with a Tennessee letter jacket with an honorary letter in football, in deep respect for his courage and sacrifice.

Let TKJr be the one to hand the jacket to Zae's mom.

Go Vols!

Why do we never hear about the 12 year old cousin that was shot and killed in his father's van. Is he not a hero as well ?

Correct and the cuz was killed after attending a charity basketball game in honor of ZD.

The following recognitions so far, I recall .

The field number emblem at Fulton
Honorary Captain
The Jerseys being worn at Fulton and UT
The pres discussing it
National media attention
The Arthur Ashe Courage award
The ESPN 30 for 30 being recorded for the season.

Zae Dobson was killed while protecting 2 friends.

That's the narrative that keeps getting put out. The grand jury indictment states the 2 charged with murder specifically sought out Dobson and 8 other specific people in retaliation for a drive by that occurred earlier that night. Kind of weird that he was "protecting" the girls if he was specifically sought out in retaliation. Turns out it wasn't random despite what we've been told.

Just because he may have been the target doesn't mean he didn't still protect the other two. I doubt the shooters really cared if anyone else got hit in the process.

TKJr wearing #24 is the right way for UT to honor Zae Dobson. It's possible UT could have a moment of silence to honor him before the home opener, but the university traditionally has been very protective of honorariums.

Maybe, maybe not. The point is what is being reported in the media and by KPD and Mayor Rogero has never been the truth. We were told was the shooting was random and it turns out it wasn't. Let that sink in.

What is your point? There are a number of stories as to why the shooting happened.

Even if Dobson were a drug dealer and the people specifically targeted him like IT SEEMS you're insinuating , in his last moments on Earth he chose to protect two people's lives.

He could have tried to run like criminals often do. Save his damn self.

But no... he chose to save two lives at the expense of his own.

That is the only account that matters.

What are you getting at?

They were doing it in retaliation for a previous drive-by but it was not dobson they were looking for.

Do not try to tarnish the kids reputation with inaccurate information please.

Even if the defense team attempts to say this is true, it is only a ploy to try and reduce sentencing and is a complete lie.
