Major fail by Amazon

Anyone else experience terrible service by Amazon at the end of the holidays?

I ordered a major item on Saturday 12/21 for Monday delivery, before Christmas. As of today the item has still failed to track.

On 12/26 they told me to reorder it, so I did, again with overnight delivery....so it should deliver today. I see this morning it has not even shipped and they are giving me a delivery date of 12/31.

I'm rather shocked at how poorly they have performed. Thought they were a better run company than this. They might want to get normal shipping down to a science before they start messing with drones.

Been a member of Amazon Prime for over 3 years and I have never had any problems. In fact everything shipped directly from Amazon has arrived when it should or sooner. Have even dealt with returns and such and was very impressed with the customer service at Amazon, too. My guess is it was a fluke or you ordered from a seller within Amazon (but not directly from) who couldn't fulfill the request.

And lulz at you for blaming Amazon. The "one-day" option bumps your shipping priority to first, but it doesn't guarantee one day shipping. . . especially ON CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. :)

Then the cooks should get it right
By that statement I must assume you have worked as a cook in a packed restaurant with orders flying at you as fast as you can turn around written by waiters with hand writing that would fail in a third grade penmanship class.

You're incorrectly assuming the server wrote it down instead of having it told to them and then incorrectly going to the back to put the order in.

Nobody is perfect.
The job, while pays well, sucks.
In the middle of a rush most are doing there best to send it out right the first time. Frustration is misplaced and taken out on customers.

Its not right. It shouldn't happen. The only thing that should change is......... you shouldn't send your food back.

Ask for a refund. Get a free meal card for next time. But for the love of all things Holy, don't send your food back.

If I order chicken and get hamburger, I send it back. If it is something really egregious or just wrong, then of course you send it back. But, if I order a steak medium and it comes back medium-well or vice versa, I just chalk it up as an "L". I'll survive. That is one reason why I hate going out with a group of people out to dinner, because it will be someone in the group that has to have everything "perfect". I mean really, if you go to Outback, Longhorns, Logans, Waffle House or any "chain restaurant" on Gunbarrel Rd/Kingston Pike/Mallory Lane and you send food back that is 90% of what you ordered, just stay home and cook.

if you call my first reply tolling, either you are an idiot like they say or out of touch with the real world. Carry on.

It's rare I will send anything back but if my steak comes out well done I'm getting a new one. If that makes someone angry enough that someone feels the need to mess with my food then it's probably my fault for going to such a restaurant and expecting something better. I'd also hope another employee would call them out but evidently that's ridiculous and customers should just be happy they're getting food at all

Restaurants have had computers for a while

They only output what is input to them. If the server hears the order wrong and/or enters it wrong, why penalize the cook? Or better yet (which is what happens most often), why reward bad customers? Customers that are either too picky, have no idea what meat temperatures are, no idea what comes with each entree or have no idea how much more a Patron margarita is vs one made with well shot tequila?

Heres to your chewing slowly and not having a difficult time swallowing that food based on those "hopes"
