Miami don’t like drama........ things get done quick.

I work with a program in TX with some very close connections to both the former and current UH coaching staff. Word around the water cooler is that Applewhite is bat s*** crazy. Plays staff members and admin against one another. His staff never got a beat on him and rarely knew where they stood with him. Not upset we didn’t hire him.

So far this has been an exercise to see which other jobs come open to see who will make a hire in a reasonable amount of time.

I watched Pruitt leave the defense & run over to Helton yell at him and point at the scoreboard

That happened a few times this year. Made helton move to the sideline etc

Perhaps CJP should have concentrated on the defense in the Mizzou and Vandy games. 88 points in the final 2 games tells me the defense was missing something.

I agree. I don’t personally like that Pruitt is DC too. It’s done with success at this level with HC’s calling one side. But I’m just not a fan.

Pruitt coaches his first game ever as a HC this last year. He will make plenty of mistakes learning how to be a HC. Most coaches after getting their first power 5 job have been a HC at lest somewhere. Pruitt hadn’t and I think he will be a good one, but he wasn’t ready.

And a unprepared HC is on us as a Tennessee fan base too. I do think the uproar cleaned house at Tennessee and that was needed. But it did cause Tennessee to have to turn to a guy that wasn’t maybe 100% ready for the job. But from what I’ve seen.... I think he will be fine.



Ps: that Mizzou game Drew Lock was on fire too.
