A few stats of note:

As a team, we had 8 sacks in the first 4 games. We have 21 in the last 6 games.

We are first in the SEC now in tackles for a loss.

Barnett has 56 tackles, 9 sacks, and 18 TFL's. He is in the third in Sacks and 1st in TFL's. Clowney had 36 tackles, 12 TFL's, and 8 sacks. It isn't even close.

Maggitt now has 8 sacks and 11 TFL's. He is well on his way towards achieving what I think I remember hearing was his goal of 10 sacks this year. This is great to see, especially after he was maligned by the thicker portion of our fan base when he only had a couple of sacks 5 games into the season.

It seems like we have had a slow defense and a god-awful pass rush for years now. It was a blast to see them in person at Neyland today eviscerating the Kentucky offense, and it was nice to see the statistics backing up the "eye test".

Just wait until we add Kahlil, Tuttle, Butcher, Picou, etc. next year. We will easily have the best pass rush in the SEC.

I hope Maggitt decides to come back next year. The D-Line will be truly special.

No way Curt leaves, If so he would be lucky to be drafted in top 4 rounds.Coming off knee injury he will come back and work his way up to top 2 rounds.. my opinion

I think Henderson and Hendrix will be contributors down the road as well. It takes a special talent to be able to do what Barnett has done as a freshman, so I think our other d ends will have some big contributions in the next few years.

I think our pass rush has really improved over the course of the season for two main reasons:
1) Barnett, as a freshman just keeps getting better and better.
2) Maggit was a little slow getting back to full form and getting up to the speed of the game.

I hope our two 5star DTs can come in and be immediate impact players but that is difficult as freshmen. They will definitely be huge in the years to come though.

It would be cool to have two platoons of Dline that could both dominate and just rotate them all game long next year.

Crazy to think he was headed to Vandy.

We need a little more size on the interior of our line but overall for this year and looking to next year our stock is quickly rising.
