Long story short: Made a bet with a Georgia fan that will pay me $1 for every UT rushing yard over 60 yards, but I would pay $1 for every yard under 60.

I work in Northwest GA and spent my first hour of the day talking to a Georgia fan. He's not as bad as some can be but hes still a dawg...

He asked me how many rushing yards I thought UT would get, while I was thinking he interrupted and said "you know it won't be much!"

I told him we be over 100 yards. He asked another UT fan (he knows him better) if he wanted to make a bet on it $1 per yard either way. He declined cause he doesn't bet, the UGA fan then said how bout 40 yards! I said I'll take that bet!

He backed off to 60 yards.

Being a good sport I offered to cap the bet for if UT got 120 yards but he about fell out of his chair laughing so I gladly took back my offer.
Plus he makes more money than me so I hope we go for 300 yards on the ground Lol.

I can't describe to you the level of confidence that UGA fans have right now. A week ago, they thought the world was coming to an end after one bad half against Arkansas. Now, they think they're poised for a playoff run.

Right! With Bama after Us? Let's hope ga's team is thinking like that.

Is this "pure gains" by running or do you have to take off the yards lost by sacks? If sacks come into play,,, you may be in trouble if JG holds true to form with really good defensive teams..

Listening to sports radio this morning and a UGA fan called in saying how impressive they looked against AU and they are ready for Bama in two weeks. We are literally an afterthought.

I do not bet on the outcome of games but that would be a wager I would easily take. Good on you.

I'm not convinced Auburn isn't just bad. Their Oline and Dline looked pretty pitiful against Kentucky too.

If our Oline gets dominated, that will be disappointing considering that is our best unit. But I don't think that's going to happen.

I've quit trying to figure anything out. It's impossible to know which teams/players have been impacted by the screwy preseason and who may end up sitting.

Dude’s an overconfident idiot. I know they held AU to 39 yards rushing and their stout D is really good against the run... BUT

The weather forecast calls for heavy rain Saturday (storm coming up from the gulf.). Both teams will be inclined to keep the ball on the ground. I think we’ll see some good ol fashioned run-first offense. Be sure to buy a good bottle of whiskey with your winnings.

They are poised for a playoff run. I’m not high on Auburn, and I honestly expected Georgia to maul them. That game didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. Georgia’s defense is legit, and they could definitely run the table. I wouldn’t bet on it because Georgia gonna Georgia, but they have the talent to do it. If I were a Georgia fan, however, I would not feel confident about holding Tennessee under 60 yards rushing with our line just blowing people off the LOS as they have through the first two weeks.

THIS. I hope you clarified this point, because UGA is very likely to get some sacks. If you two are going on net yards (which deducts sacks), you may be owing money.

The only concern I have about our Oline is Mays. Not in any way his talent or ability, but because you should ask yourselves, “who has the most reps against him? Who has watched the most film on him? Who know his strengths and weaknesses” Kirby and his D.

That's a good bet. I think the biggest thing between you and about 50 bucks at least... Is if Georgia stuffs a few runs and Jim Chaney decides to get pass happy.

Sacks in college are rushing yards, in the NFL sacks are not.
