Since my Xbox died, I needed another sports game for my PS3. Played 5 games last night and there are still the usual legacy issues with the game. I think its a step up from NCAA, but thats not saying much. Involved in an online league and only play known users, but from what I have seen and read about is that most of the frustration comes from playing ranked online against randoms.......which is the same story every year. The defense is weak, like in AA, and the read option is ran like it is in college. Overall, its fun and thats really the only bottom line that matters.

I am just hoping that they used all the resources and made the next gen Madden really good. Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

Hopefully the "Ignite Engine" alone will improve the overall feel of the game. Saw the FIFA 14 on next gen showing off the ignite engine and it was pretty impressive IMO.

Not bashing if you like it...

Just got it from Redbox for the hell of it, and I couldn't play one quarter. I hope next-gen improves football/sports games. The Show is they only sports game I enjoy, and even it is getting to repetitive.

I have fallen out of love with sports games the past few years. I can play the show, fifa and Nba2k, but the football games bore me after a while.

I'm glad I've skipped The Show for a few years, I'll check it out for PS4 in the spring and It'll be new again.

Are users able to edit player appearances, ratings, etc in franchise/connected careers??? If not, I refuse to buy it.

Go to your roster and edit........like you would any other year. They added the ability to edit in 13 with a patch.

Following question applies to madden 25:

Thx. But can I get an existing player (say...Justin smith) and make his arms bigger or change his physical build while in career mode?

I started playing franchise mode as an owner.

I turned off the salary cap and I'm treating it as a business. I can sign players at will but I have to be making enough money to afford them. I think the game becomes more fun like that. I started in St. Louis but my advisers recommended to move so I ended up moving to LA after one season.
