Madden 23 reveal

I was planning on getting into MUT for the first time in 4 or 5 years just because I've been grinding DD in MLB so much.

What improvements have they made to MUT?
Unless things have changed a lot. Dont do it unless you want to spend a ton. MLB does a decent job of giving out free cards for people to grind for, Madden lol good luck anything free on madden becomes irrelevant 2 hours after it released.

On another note. Last year I swore I wasnt buying this game then went out and got it on release day while buying a new console, hated last years game.
This year I dont have any excitement for the game and dont plan on buying it, but lets see what happens when I get back from the beach, odds are ill end up caving in in a month or so.

I think you can do EA Play trial and get the 10 hours starting tomorrow. Might be worth seeing if there is any improvement.

Personally hate MUT and how the game is catered to whales spending ridiculous money it, while the franchise and other modes get the short end of the stick.

Eh, Madden is generall my favorite game. I'll probably bite the bullet.
I know a lot of people care about franchise, but personally I could care less, Madden is one of those games I want to play online or not at all.

I played a couple hours of the trial. The tackling is weird, players feel kinda floaty. The new passing mechanics are kinda neat. You can actually throw back shoulder throws now.

I did all of the early access and most of the headliner challenges in MUT and I'm still not even halfway to level 3. So progression seems kinda slow.

I'm okay with the floatiness. Much better than the locked in animations imo. While the physics are a little off, it feels like it has a lot more natural flow.

Played about 4 hours today got 88 Team Captain Keyshawn free and pulled 86 Kwity Paye. It has it flaws but its still fun and hopefully they can fix these slow menus. I'm on series X and its taking me back to XBone days.

The menus are so slow too Holy **** its getting annoying fast
Yeah same as last year on the XBX and XBS.

The game is fantastic this year and needs a little tweeking on the OL and fix the 3-3 blitz issue, outside of that, the best madden in years. The precision passing mech is a challenge to learn and master, but once you do it makes the game that much better. Highly recommend trying out the trial.

They have fixed this issue on PS, assuming so on XB. The biggest progression is made with dailies and milestones and tasks on the fieldpass.

Couldn’t agree more

Yep. Better than last year, still not very good. Not as good as it should be. I forgot NFL 2k had those Berman halftime shows, and iirc even showed highlights from around the league. That was cool. MUT has effectively killed the game. They just market it every year as "best Madden in years" and people buy it and sink money into MUT. Rinse and repeat. EA makes billions a year doing this.

But like he said, it's the only game out there. THAT is the problem.

Played a little bit at a friends house. Games complete garbage as usual. It’ll never change until it’s possible for them to have competition or nobody buys their game which will never happen. How I miss the days of good football games

Sports games in general man…

I remember as a kid I would have a load of all kinds of sports titles

All Star Baseball, MVP Baseball, Triple Play Baseball, MLB2k, and most beloved of all.. Slugfest

Then there was Madden, NFL 2k, NFL Fever, NFL Backbreaker, NFL Street..

This new age of gaming blows in almost all aspects. The games are worse, and cost exponentially more as they squeeze you for every dime they can even after you drop the $70 for the base game. It’s so ****ing sad looking back at how amazing sports gaming used to be, and what it’s become today. A glorified gambling for kids video game.

I played the free demo time. I'm sure I'll pick it up only because there is no other option.

I wish they would bring NFL 2K back. 2K5 is still the best NFL video game I’ve ever played. Madden is so boring and blah now no new innovation at all with it

Unless it's been 10 years since you've bought Madden, why do people keep buying this game? Especially when you can get easily updated rosters?

Everybody complains about the game, how it has all these problems, and it doesn't change at all year-to-year, but EA keeps doing it, which tells me that it is working. Are the people online that complain about Madden just a loud minority?

Because MUT is the popular mode now, and content on old games stop when the new game drops.
