That Chiefs defense though..

I have to say that so far it's the best Madden I've played.

The play selection screen got me a couple times, but after about 5 games I don't constantly mash the X button.

Online has been good too. 5 games in and have played against a different team each time. In 2013 seems like I only played against San Francisco

I have a few questions/concerns about playing as a single player on franchise. I have two players, a WR who starts and a RB who only plays special teams.

As the WR:
Why do I pick the plays?
Why do I decide when the ball is snapped?
Why do I have to watch random offensive plays I'm not participating in?

As the RB (5'7", 183 lbs):
Why am I on the line to block for FGs?
Why do I control the kicker on these plays?
Why am I on FG block team? I'm tiny and can't jump at all.

Strange stuff. Would like to know if you can let the CPU pick the plays when you're not controlling the QB, would make it a little more realistic.

I returned a kickoff from deep in the end zone. Ran into a About 6 defenders. But I'm not going down. The rest of the defense piles on, but I keep pushing through and after about a 10 yard fight with all them I bust through and score. His shoulder was locked down and wouldn't come out of his move. After I scored he continued to run at the wall outside the end zone. While it was a glitch, the score counted, I kicked the extra point and went to half time. Was craziest thing I've ever seen. Tried to save reply, but it wasn't even viewable. Definitely needs some patching. Fumbles for me have been very consistent. I fumbled on opening dive 4 times in a row. I've had a few plays that are supposed to be pass plays. My qb acts like it's a delayed hand off and won't move.

I have had maybe 3 fumbles the whole time I have been playing.

For anyone wanting to get the Connected Careers Legacy trophies easily. Did this last night and got all 10 in an hour.

First download and load the '49ERSALL99' by M-Easy roster. This roster maxes put the attributes of all of the 49ers starters. It works especially well because I maxed out young players and rookies, not only currently older starters. So this roster will have superstars that will make your team go undefeated for the five years you will need to unlock this trophy. This roster also does what the NFL refuses to do and takes away all of the performance enhancing drugs away from the Seahawks, so their roster is very weak and will not pose a threat to you.

Once you have downloaded the 49ERSALL99 roster make sure you load it from the main menu. Go to Customize -> Manage Files -> Load and delete files -> Press once to move over to roster -> Press to select the 49ers roster -> The game will now warn you all progress will be lost, click yes to load.

Now go to the 'Play' tab in the main menu and start an offline connected franchise -> Create offline -> Choose "Import Custom Roster."

Use "Create Coach" and set him as a "Team Builder." While editing your coach under "offensive styles" and "defensive styles" turn the aggressiveness up to 70%

Choose the 49ers who will have a 98 adjusted overall roster (make sure you confirm the team is Overall 98). To efficiently unlock this trophy make sure you follow these settings:
Instant Starter: On
Salary Cap: Off
Difficulty: All Pro
Quarter Length: 7 Minutes
Accelerated Clock: On
Minimum Play Clock Time: 20
Game Speed: Normal
Player Progression Frequency: Every four weeks
Coach Firing: Off
Game Play Tuning: Yes
Injuries: Off
Pre Existing Injury: Off
Trade Deadline: Off
Trade Type: Enable All
Don’t worry about Team Settings unless you are going to actually be playing in the game

CPU Settings:
Fill Roster: On
Re-Sign Players: On
Progress Players: On
Sign Offseason Free Agents: On
Simulate Game Prep Activities: On
Now once you are in the main menu select "advance week" and simulate the season. You should go 16-0 and win the super bowl every year, I did. But to be on the safe side you may want to simulate up until the Super Bowl, save and then simulate the big game to make sure you win it. Once you have won five Super Bowls this trophy will unlock. I've test this method twice and have won the Super Bowl after 5 seasons both times so you are safe to choose "simulate 10 years" and stop after the 5th year.

Heads up to ultimate team players. ..for the next 19 hours you can buy 3 All-Pro packs for 24500 coins or 350 points (each). Contains at least 3 gold or elite and a mix of 7 others. I got all 3. Best player it gave me was 86 ovr Champ Bailey.

Even though I still think EA is Satan, I must say this is the best football game I've played in a decade
