Saw it today and wow, it never let's up. Great movie. I like the homage paid to the original movies, specifically the second one, through the inclusion of Max's car and the little music box.

Thought it had a very Borderlands look and feel to it.

9/10

I would give it a 10/10 if hosing themselves off scene was done more Games of Thronish.

But it was an awesome movie. I went into it hearing people claiming it was some pro feminist movie but maybe I missed something but I saw nothing "pro feminist" about it.

Many people see it as a feminist movie because Charlize is the main character that saves the day. I don't really give a $hit if it is or isn't: the movie is great regardless.

But she doesn't save the day. Two dudes accomplish that. That is what I don't get. Resident Evil, Underworld..those would be "feminist" movies right?

It's because women don't want men in the future. Procreation often results in a mutant, so women don't need men for that anymore and they make all lady desert communes. It's a really stupid thing to be worried about from a political perspective.

I figured the mutants were caused by the constant exposure to "guzzoline" which would make sense. But you gotta figure a post apocalyptic world is going to suck big time for a myriad of reasons

It's from nuclear fallout.

It is a world that has been destroyed by men, who only want to use women to breed, so if the women needed men to survive it would go against pretty much the overall theme of the movie.

This movie accomplishes what it set out to do perfectly. I love the fact we don't really get much exposition about the characters or the world. Other action movies would of spent a hour just sitting up Furiosa before any action happen. They would of forced us to visit Gas Town, and shove a bunch of half baked exposition down our throat. This movie did a perfect job of using action to tell the story. I don't need 15 minutes of yadda yadda yadda just to get to action that ends up not that good (see any Transformer movie). Mad Max gets straight to the action without the yadda yadda yadda, and not only does it have amazing action, it still gives me a story I like without the BS.

I hardly ever buy Blu-Rays (only one I purchased so far this year was The Guest which I loved too), but I will be buying this one when it comes out.
