You missed a big one.
I was actually dating this girl at the time, a gamecock to be exact, and we were at the Fox & Hound with the Charlotte UT Almni Assoc watching that game. We left at half time and I told her I was going home to watch it by myself. That's the worst its been for me, I still watch but had to watch that one in solitary. Glad now I didn't go back to her place like she wanted me to, I definitely would've missed the end of that game!!

I turned off the '06 Georgia game after we got behind. I hate losing to Georgia so I couldn't take any more. Much to my surprise we came back and walloped them pretty good. I also left the 1990 Notre Dame game after Rocket ran back that punt return. I learned that day to never, ever count Andy Kelly out of a ball game. He was clutch.

haha- i was in a bar in South GA surrounded by Dawg fans. I was catching so much hell at the beginning of that game. Towards the end though, I was the one dishing it!! muahaha It's a wonder why I didn't get jumped that night:blink:

Iv'e never been as pissed off as the 2001 Sec Championship game. I was so mad and at the same time depressed. I actually had a few tears run down my face because we had just lost the right to go to the National Championship. What a absolutely horrible day.:shakehead:

Try being there with the official university party, that was a somber ride back to the hotel...and to Knoxville. I actually had my first beer after that game.:cray:

True and we beat a great Fla. St. team!

w/o their starting QB. That team went on to be wire-to-wire No.1 in 1999; the personnel was pretty much identical to the year we beat them.

...but I'll still take it!! The first BCS trophy still sits in our case, and not theirs! :good!:

Outzen was good enough to beat UF. And as I recall, before the game the FSU people were actually saying they were better with Outzen (because of his mobility, I think). Afterwards, of course, they all claimed that that's the only reason they lost.

NO, YOU LOST BECAUSE YOUR HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER COULDN'T GET BY OUR PUNTER IN THE OPEN FIELD. MWUHAHAH!

I didn't turn the Maryland Peach Bowl off. But it was New Year's Eve and I was at a club in Knoxville and basically quit watching and got extra drunk because of the way it went.

I got absolutely smashed after watching the 2001 sec championship. I was so devastated after the game, but I was convinced that...hell, we were in atlanta, might as well still go out. Well the club we went to the dj gets on the mic and says "this is for all you lsu fans" and plays rocky top, and all the lsu fans start dancing. Then the drive back to k-ville the next day, watching all the flags fly by, all I could do was bury my head in my hands and just "why god...why?"

I decided to stumble home drunk with my 3rd pint of Jack Daniel's during halftime of the '96 Florida game. I passed out and my girlfriend came and woke me up saying, "We came back!!" I couldn't believe my ears. I had no idea that she meant we came back to close the gap a little. I called the police on her for trespassing.

I was sitting on my couch with a buddy watching the '03 Florida game. After the 5th fumble or so, I took the VHS I was recording out of the VCR, lit it on fire, and threw it out in traffic.

I hear ya. That had to one of the worst performances of a Tennesse team in recent memory. That game only could've been made better by an episode of a bench player coming on the field to make a tackle like a game from the distant past that I can't remember who was involved but somebody will clarify that shortly. Sorry for the run on sentence..

I left the 1986 Alabama game at halftime (final score: 56-28), but that was only because I was there with a friend and his family, and when they left, I didn't have much of a choice. Other than that I've never left a game early or turned the TV off before the clock runs out. I have, however, been known to begin turning to the drink rather aggressively towards the end of some of the games, under the old "I'm gonna drink till I think we won!" strategy.

Having to leave because you're with somebody else who is your ride doesn't count. Unless you want to hitch hike home, which gets you extra credit... :)

I still believe to this day that fumble was meant to happen. Once that fumble occured I knew at that moment that this team was special. Its easily one of my Top 10 most memorable plays off all time.Thank You Clint Stoerner..
