How Long will it Take to Fix and How Long will We Suffer????How long will it take to fix this mess?
How much more can true Vol Fans Endure?

I have been a Vol Fan since the UCLA Game Dec 4 1965 in Memphis.

We have had great teams since those times. We have had the some dogs too.

Yes there is parity in the NCAA and no one team will rule the roost in years to come.

I have been through all the coachs of the past and have seen the good the bad and the ugly of coachs and fans.

I truly believe that no coach should be a one school for more than 12 YRS Unless they produce a division or conference championship every 3 years and maintain a top 15 ranking 10 of the 12 years.

9-3 record is borderline to being unacceptable. Realistically there are peaks and valleys and you cannot stay on top of the college world forever but those three loses should never and I repeat never all be SEC Loses.

This is bar nothing short. It is a realistic Standard. The only exception is on the inbound into the program and the State of the Program when the coach is hired.

Points are:

1) Our program is down. duh
2) What needs to be done to change it.
3) Why have we allowed it to fall from grace?
4) It was time for a change 4 years after the NC and we are 5 years overdue.
5) There are not standards.
6) R we headed back to the 80's
7) We do less with more talent.
8) Time for a controlled change at the top.
9) Identify the problem and fix it quit fixing the symptoms (ie Randy Sanders firing)

Nothing will be done until the season is over mikey is making a big point of it. Why is the only question i have is he waiting to see who we play in the toilet bowl WTF?
He doesn't understand that house cleaning at the end of the year kills your recruiting for the year. The guy is a basketball AD and a bad hire for our football program.

Really think he is neither. Football, Basketball, Baseball. He is a buisnessman who is an AD.

It makes me very uneasy that he is not giving at least some veiled assurances to making changes at the end of the season. I am reminded that Fulmer had a lot to do with Hambone getting his current job. The BOT may have to pull a Nebraska move on Hamilton if he does not get with the programs ASAP. Otherwise, I can completely forsee Phil eeking out 2-3 more wins and getting to the Liberty or Music City Bowl, which would still be considered part of the "season" by Hamilton and the Fulmer backers. At that point (late December/early January) we'd have the usual suspects saying: (1) he turned it around and it is wrong to fire a coach who gets to a bowl game; and (2) it will ruin the whole recruiting season to fire Phil that close to February. I really think the recruiting angle will be held over the fans' heads like a sword of Fulmercles, because the current staff knows that we worry about it too much. I say, go ahead and make the change now and give the class of 2008 the chance to commit to the staff that they will be learning under for the next 4 years.

If you think this team has any chance of finishing 9-3 then you are going to be much madder than you are now at the end of the season.

This team will be lucky to be 6-6 I was talking about any new coach hires in the future. A 9-3 is borderline unacceptable record.

Its acceptable, in a rebuilding year... It shouldn't be the best in any 3 year span.

Yes hillbilly i believe your worst fear is going to come true. Unless hamilton is a complete idiot. His actions right now tell me he is hell bent on keeping phil around. Either way recruiting will suffer this year. So then out of the last four years we will have two subpar classes. Hamilton inadvertantly or not is helping to kill our program. It might be a good idea to axe his butt too.

I agree with you I am afraid we will give him one more year and then one more year and then one more year. The saga will continue and continue until there is more damage.

Yeah, I figured that is what you were pertaining to, but when I hear 9-3 and Tennessee in the same quote I automatically lose all my senses b/c I know 9-3 will be a miracle under this staff any time in the near future.

Just wanted to Clear that up. I do not want to revert to the days of old when we were happy with 8-3 seasons or 7-5

I am so tired of hearing that argument. I can list over 60 people that are private contributors that give more than Haslam or their total contributions make Haslam's money look like pennies. The University of Tennesse has got you fooled.
What's more, Haslam has indicated he is out of this controversy. You need to take a closer look at the donation list. Believe what you what to believe. Continue to support this garbage about the program and how one person controls it all. It just isn't right this day and it is what it is as well as it should be.

Futhermore, I am sure Haslam is giving money to watch those dollars go down the toilet Individual donors with money and power that are recognized like this are given the power they do not deserve and ruin good football programs.

Are you seeing the pattern here. You are just as much to blame and arrogant for repeating this garbage.

Get used to it it's your Karma for being a Vol fan! I've used the anology of RC Slocum and Texas A&M before, UT will hang on to CPF until the program is destitute before they fire him, then will be another 5-8 years and two to three more coaches before we are able to compete again.

Can Fulmer before the cupboard is completely bare!!

If the coaching staff TRULY cares about the athletic department at the University of Tennessee, nobody will HAVE to be canned. They will man up and admit it is time to move on or retire.

Absolutely. But when is the right time? Fulmer has been a part of this program for decades as a player and a coach. If and when he does leave, it should be in a positive light and done well for the good of the whole program. It needs to happen soon but can he make it through the year and is that in the programs best interest?

Well get your 60 friends to hold their donations, but you being mad isn't changing anything

Trust me I do not have to say a word. I just want to point out that several trusts are under revision and some people are not the Payroll God you think they are. Buying the team would be too easy and if it were for sale; it would have been bought already.
