Well to my Knowledge at this point "Bamawriter" there has not been a ruling on anything, only an accusation. If you have proof of guilt, other than the link to the news report or charges being sought, please provide the reasoning and proof support your judgement in this case.
Last time I checked this was a Tennessee Board not an Alabubba one and just because you "Bamawriter" may or may not have the most teeth in the county, along with the purest bloodline, and the largest double wide doesn't mean that your wife is still not your sister. :hi:
We'll see what the outcome of this is but all anyone knows at this point is that he has been charged and will have court hearings over the charges to determine his guilt or innocence.
I have and that is the reason I keep commenting. That is an "arrest affidavit" from a florida cop not an acutal court hearing. Read the article in my link
Me too. Youngest is fifteen. I understood where you were coming from, and I'm not advocating for legalizing "relations" with underage kids. That said, the idea of sex/marriage between an older man and a young post-pubescent girl being wrong is a very recent thing even in our western culture. It really wasn't all that long ago a girl was a bit of an old maid if she wasn't married at 18.
Again, not advocating, but I just can't view it with the same "I'd be happy to put a bullet in them myself" view I have of those who molest prepubescent children. Obviously though, those going from teen to teen are predators who must be dealt with.

Crowder is a real POS and I hope he gets put away for a while.Again, the affidavit contains actual quotes from Crowder about his intentions for this "14 year old girl" and what she should do to prepare for their interaction, and included him saying that he hoped she wouldn't claim rape. He sent multiple pictures of himself, in multiple positions of his anatomy, including, but not limited to, a size comparison to a banana, to law enforcement agents. I really don't see where your doubt is coming from, or maybe I'm misunderstanding you. In his mind, this was a 14 year old girl.
It's quite terrifying how out of date the laws are on something that has been widespread for nearly ten years now.
Consider this. In the state of TN it is legal for a 19 year old to have sex with a 15 year old (Romeo and Juliet Laws) but it is illegal for a an 18 year old to have a picture of a girl/guy who is 17 years and 363 days old on their phone, to such a degree it is actually a Class C felony per item on the phone if the D.A. wants to be a complete ass about it.
It gets worse. Imagine two kids start dating as freshmen in high school. They date until one of them turns 18. That 18 year old asks his girlfriend of multiple years to send him a picture (something more common than 2nd base at this point) so she happily does. He gets his phone confiscated by a teacher a few days later who then goes through it and sees the under age student on it. That teacher, legally, has to report that it is child pornography on the phone and that boy can be charged with Possession of it. They then can do a full investigation, like say if the girl has very religious parents or they don't like her boyfriend, and end up charging him with possession for every picture they've ever sent. And if HIS parents want to get even as a result they can have her charged with creation (15 years minimum per item), Possession (5 years per item), and distribution (25 years per item) of each picture/video as well, because being a minor does not make you exempt from child pornography laws. Yes, two 15 year olds can in theory go to jail for sending each other pictures.
The bigger issue is the people who make and change the laws (Baby Boomers) don't have any idea for the most part how most of these apps and programs work. If you asked 100 people age 40 and up to describe KIK, Whisper, Tinder, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat, you would most likely get "Social media" for all of them. I'm 25 years old and have never used kik or Whisper, but I have 15 year old cousins who never get off them, and based on what I know about them they seem to be made to bring back the days of 1999-2001 internet message board levels of anonymity.
The same reason abstinence only education doesn't work.
True. All kids are different, kids are under the illusion that they have privacy. Not while you are under my roof. There are no cell phone locks or locked doors. You pay no bills. I am sure others around Mack knew that he was attracted to young girls but did nothing about it.
I'd hope somebody would have done something if they knew, but who knows. And what would you do really. Most likely he hasn't been caught this red handed by anyone until now. You might have thought him creepy but would that have been enough for you to go to the police or whatever your response would have been? Easy for us to say we would have now. I don't blame anyone but him
Edit: Also, hey neighbor!
