i dont keep up with softball that much, but there's no way they are the number one team in the country and got a 5 seed, if they did then the selection committee for ncaa softball is ridiculous
I remember turning on the tv and they were talking to karen weekly and she seemed pretty upset, but yes, they were either number 1 or 2 coming into the weekend and I believe they lost to Florida in extras innings in the SEC Tournament.
yeah we got screwed pretty bad, but so did other SEC schools. LSU, the tournament champion, is a 10 seed, and Alabama is an 11 seed??? wow, I really don't understand that at all.

yea this is wierd, this is the equivalence of Florida losing in the Sec tourney (bball) second round and getting a 10th seed after being ranked in the top 5 merely the entire year... could u imagine?
I would assume from watching ESPN's coverage of softball last year that the NCAA softball people have their heads up the collective female parts of the PAC 10 and Big XII.
never mind, the Lady Vols beat UNC today 2-0, Abbott had 17 strikeouts. They will play tomorrow, most likely facing UNC again, and the Tar Heels would have to beat them twice.
She hurt her knee while trying to avoid a tag. They originally diagnosed it as a torn ACL, but they are now calling it a severe knee sprain. They're gonna do more tests on her on Monday. She was on crutches leaving the stadium. Either way, they're probably going to be without her the rest of the way. Schutzler will most likely take her place in the leadoff spot.
