The men's tennis team will be the one to really watch this year. We came close to a team national title last year--lost a close match to Baylor in the team semifinal--and should be better this year. We beat Florida to win the SEC Tournament title, and then Florida went on to win the NCAA title, beating baylor. However, one of Florida's best player has transferred to Tennessee, as did a very good player from Oklahoma State and another from Texas, Arlington. We also recruited up a couple of excellent international freshman--one from Japan and one from Ireland. They will both be good/very good, I think. Meanwhile, our numbers 1, 2 and 4 players are back--as is our national-title winning doubles pair. Should be an exciting year for both our tennis teams.
