LVs win the opener 9 - 0 over Longwood -- face NC St on Sat. Ivy with the SO :number1:

Longwood is a little school about 30 miles from Richmond, next to the (little) mens' college Hampden Sydney.

They play at 1:30 eastern if they lose they play the James Madison/Longwood winner at 6:30 eastern. There is no tv broadcast the only video is on utsports.com.

Great pitching today glad Rainey Gaffin got that big hit we can rest tonight and take on whoever comes out of this tough night as our opponent. We will have a well rested Ivy to close this regional out.

Rainey Gaffin is going to be a huge star for UT. If she stays healthy, she'll be an All-American multiple times before her career is over. Even as a true freshman she's hitting .347 and has an OPS above 1.000

Need to score some runs. If JMU can get 6/8 hits and 4 runs off the ncstate pitcher, we should, too, at the least. And she's got to be tired.
