What if I told you that there is a certain coach who has won championships at the college and pro levels and rumor is he may be wanting to get back into coaching? I haven’t seen him mentioned here, but his name is Jimmy Johnson.

Cincinnatti on thier last drive snapped the ball with 10 secs left on 2nd and 3rd downs and they even tried a pass on 3rd down with Ga out of timeouts ... they could have ran off another 40 secs off clock ..and get this Ga kicked the winning field goal with 7 seconds left .. we have has enough of that stuff .. Why? Totally different coach and personality. If you remember Dooley’s signature win at UT was over Butch. Butch road Kelly’s coat tails at UC. Fickell had to rebuild the program and almost beat UGA with 2 and 3 stars.

Once again, Luke Fickell is fools gold. Very nice guy and just fine at Cincy, but he's not a guy who is going to get Tennessee double digit wins.

Plus we've been over this, another defensive minded coach probably isn't getting us to the promise land.

No. They committed seroius NCAA infractions and Pruitt is the overseer of his staff and possibly turmed a blind eye or just neglected to give a damn. Which was his attitude regarding lots of things, including what us fans thought..... Realy, really smart guy

Anyone who wants Fickell didn’t watch the Cincy/Georgia game. Fickell lost that game in the exact manner Butch used to lose here: come out aggressive, get a lead, go conservative and try to run the clock with risk free football. They lost.

They plan to hire an AD first. At this point I expect Steele to be the HC next year.

Fickell isn't coming to UT right now. He can wait for a Power 5 program that has its house in order. Maybe in 11 months.

This won't be a populat opinion, but I would ride out Steele for '21. Self-impose light penalties (a couple schollies, a bowl ban that Tennessee probably won't qualify for anyway). Then go hard after Fickell.
