Luke Fickell (merged)

Yes, because Hugh Freeze's Athletic Director at Liberty was Art Briles' AD at Baylor.
Think about the sewage water you guys are fishing in. Just stupidity.
Our current HC calls one of the biggest dirt bags I can possibly fathom a mentor. Freeze could actually be considered an upgrade by some logic.

That is simply not true, as a percentage 4-5* players have an exponentially greater chance at making the NFL with far fewer overall recruits at that rating. Of course there are exceptions but there is a reason Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, etc. are generally in the mix year in and year out
What I am saying is when you see a team like Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, etc., who doesn't recruit well having a good year usually they have a pretty good coach and almost always they have a lot of veteran 4th and 5th year players in the 2 deep. A 3 star who has been well coached and has played a lot of football frequently can match up with a 4 or 5 star underclassmen. I am well aware that a greater PERCENTAGE of 4 and 5 star players end up in the NFL, that's what I meant when I said those rankings measure POTENTIAL but ultimately, you are how you play, and lots of 3 stars play their way right into the NFL.

Not sure what this has to do with any of my comments.

Georgia brings a C game because they have a C coach. He can recruit but that is about it.
Georgia brought their C game to both our game and the Cincinnati game, but we played them at their place with all their players, hence the score differential. Cinncinati is probably not any better than we are, Georgia dominated both games statistically. They ran the ball better against us but I think Georgia had 3 OL opt outs/injuries yesterday and James Cook's dad died so he didn't play either.

I actually didn't mean to reply to you specifically. Sorry about that.

Correct, they have good coaches

Think he totally mismanaged the clock yesterday, but since I'm desperate for a better coach... Why not?

Sort of the opposite of Butch Jones. Actual big X’s and O’s guy without the carsalesman garbage. Anyone with any good info on this guy. Would be a major upgrade over Pruitt imo
No no it would not. Might not even be an upgrade from Jones. FreeZe or bust. But I still have faith in Pruitt given his situation. Our season last year was arguably almost as good as Florida season this year

1. Freeze
2. Freeze
3. Freeze
4. Campbell
5. Freeze
6. Fickell
7. Chadwell
8. Napier
9. A fired NFL guy because why not?
10. Talk with Sankey and convince him about Freeze
11. Freeze
12. Hire a local high school guy
13. Gruden?
14. Keep Pruitt
Herman tops the list now.

Freeze had to forfeit 27 games for recruiting violations and we are under investigation for that there will never be a Freeze here. Herman , Sark, Fickle if Pruitt is fired.

No, I’m saying idolizing a scum bag and aspiring to be like one makes you merely a scumbag in training, so pearl clutching over either is a useless exercise. Understand?
If not wanting an NCAA rectal probe because of a coaching hire makes me a pearl clutcher in your eyes, who cares?

I want neither, for the record. I’m merely pointing out the hypocrisy (at least, if not willful ignorance) prevalent in the discussion.

Hell of a hire for TX. They will be well coached on offense.
Wonder is Sarkisian works the Championship Game like our present coach did, or gets to work on his new first priority? Thinking about Saban's reaction to Kiffen's hire before the big game. It will give insight into Saban's respect differential between Kiff and Sark.
Remember Kiffen planned to coach the game and was sent packing.

Interesting take. If I was betting, I’d guess he calls plays for Saban one last time. That offense was the hallmark of the season. I think Saban felt like someone could step in adequately for Kiffin. I also think he likes Sark better, actually seems to have respect for him. Don’t think he did Lane.
