Lugenbill predicted the Vols will finish with a losing record?

Did he go by game or just throw out a record? Just wondering where he thinks the losses come from.

He just said he thought we wouldn't qualify for a bowl game, which means he thinks we'll have a losing record.

Wow, well, ok, I guess its possible, but our schedule last year was just as tough and we were not as good of a team. Should have finished 8-5 with the worst squad we've fielded in 3 decades. I can't see us not getting to 6 in the regular season.

Not even 6-6 this year but a losing record wow thats bold

Not that hard or radical to predict a losing season with our overall talent level and a schedule with Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas & LSU. Chances of a losing season is probably about 1-in-3. Vegas has our over/under win total at just 6 1/2.

He may well be right about TN, I don't think so, but it's possible, his and UGA homer Stinchcomb's prediction of UGA winning the East is the prediction I can't get over.

Guys we could easily make a bowl we have alot of easy games. Montana, Cincy, MTSU, Buffs, Vandy and Kentucky. Thats 6 right there.

And I like our chances early on @UF, and then with UGA at home (and the total inexperience all over their offense) and USC (Bray actually made it a game in the second half after we took Simms out).

I say we come out at least with 8.
Or I may be optimistic.

They're basically saying the odds of us losing to one of the easier opponents is greater than the odds of us upsetting one of the better teams... which is certainly possible. I also think GA is a reasonable call given their SEC schedule. Most would agree SCjr is probably the better team, but UGA gets the nod based on their SEC west schedule this year.

IMO if, and I said IF, he knew anything about teams other than Ala, Fla, Tx or Oregon he would realize that 7 or 8 wins for UT is more likely than just 5..Predicting the Vols to lose 7 games is ridiculous..I understand the schedule and I am confident that we not only win the 4 OOC games plus Vandy and KY, we will pull out AT LEAST 1 more win against a favored team (S Car, Fla, Ga) and get a decent bowl..JMO

I do believe that we will finish with 8 ( give or take one) wins but I don't understand all the commotion over one guys comments. And I mean after all what have we really done in the past few years to earn any respect heading into this season. I say let the players earn the respect on the field, and I believe they will, instead of having the national media hype them up for no reason. Plus we look good with a chip on our shoulder.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Vols and have all of the confidence in the world in the team. But we have been counting Kentucky as easy wins the last few seasons, and taking away last years game. They haven't been at all. Kentucky has weapons, and they could just as easily upset us this year as we could continue our streak.

I'm just saying, with an unbiased opinion in this one. This game isn't as easy as it once was.
