LSU WANTS to play Tenn in the SEC Champ...

Correct, but if we played well like I said we would have a decent shot. Example= Georgia and Arky game. We played well in those games. It's nuts to think we would have no shot in the game like many people across the nation think.

No one in his right mind would say no shot at all. But if you get there I'd think LSU would be at least a ten point favorite.

I agree with you there. But this game could set up to be a huge letdown by the Tigers. I've seen it happen many times before in college football.

LSU would also have a ton more to play for in the game. They would have a NC shot on the line and we would have just a BCS shot. The whole Les Miles to UM talk may steer their focus away and we have a revenge angle. I think, personally, that we have more balance than UGA on offense. Defensively, we are coming around. It really just depends on what team shows up, though.

If we do make it, Fulmer and staff need to lay everything on the line. None of the conservative BS.

If we make it, maybe it will be a role reversal to the 2001 SECCG.

I've been hearing LSU fans here talk about this for a few weeks now. The truth is they were terrified of a rematch with Florida, which is now off the table. My best friend is a huge LSU fan, and he basically said that UT scares him more than Georgia because LSU's defense could stuff UGA's run, but is susceptible to the pass. He also noted LSU's sloppy play of late, especially with penalties, and if Ainge has a good game, he thinks the Vols could win. I agree, though one thing both LSU and UT have in common is that they have a penchant for being their own worst enemies. I give the edge to LSU, but I think the Vols could have a good chance of winning. For now, I'm just worried about beating Kentucky.

LSU and Tennessee have had a couple of really close games over the past 2 years. The Vols beat the Tigers in OT at Baton Rouge in 2005...and the Tigers scored with only seconds remaining in Neyland last year to escape Knoxville with a victory...I think the LSU players and coaches know that they'd be in for another close game against the Vols in Atlanta.

Kentucky scares me worse at the moment. If we can get to the championship game, the way this year is going, anything can happen.

I don't think they are unbeatable, but there are only a few times I think they have played really well. If they play like they did against VT, we aren't going to have a chance. Fulmer is more likely to get UT prepared, but if Miles gets LSU ready, I think the talent difference will be to big to overcome.

Never underestimate the heart of a Volunteer.
