LSU WANTS to play Tenn in the SEC Champ...

Georgia is a one dimensional team for what it's worth. Stafford is horrible this year and has no receivers to help him in the long term from what I can tell. LSU would destroy GA, but I believe they would have a hard time with us and our defense would step up to play LSU. It always does for the most part.

They don't forget that... they just don't forget FL, AL, and Cal either.

We have to play like we did against GA or ARK to have a chance against KY or LSU.
Arkansas sucks. The defense played well, but the game couldn't compare to the Georgia game.

As crazy as this may sound, I like our chanced against LSU more than Kentucky. Any team that can pass like UK scares me.

LSU is not giving UT any respect. UT can and will beat lsu for the sec title in 2 weeks! UT 29 LSU 24

UK scares me because it is a road game. However, if UK is playing good, we can still beat them.

If I were LSU, I'd prefer to play UT over UGA. UGA has that emerging running back star, Moreno, and they are on a roll, playing with a lot of confidence.

True, but it's the 2nd best option I had. I liked it much better than the FL, AL, and Cal games. And, the rest of our games were somewhat okay, but nothing to write home about.

KY, LSU, and a BCS game could all be grounds for off-season bragging rights!

Go Vols!

LSU has not impressed me the last few weeks. I mean LSU was only up 14-7 heading in to the 3rd quarter against the worst team in the Sec yesterday. If we played well it is ludicrous to think we don't have a decent shot at winning the championship. But we got to get by the cats first.

Georgia has reeled off big wins over Florida, Auburn and Kentucky...they're playing great football, so you can't blame LSU for preferring a matchup with Tennessee in Atlanta. Not to mention the fact that playing the Bulldogs in Atlanta is like playing a road game. I don't think that it's really any disrespect to Tennessee.

If we get to the SECCG, we have a good shot at winning, largely because Miles is having a hard time getting LSU ready. I do believe that if he succeeds in preparing them, there is really nothing UT can do.

So LSU wants to play the easier route to get to the national championship? Well that says alot about them. Of course getting to the national championship is best by however you get there, but come on, if they think it will be an easier win, its not.

I'm also a little more worried about playing KY than I am LSU(if we get to that). Depends on which KY team shows up and what Tenn team shows up.

What has LSU done lately that would lead you believe they're unbeatable? They've had as many close calls as anybody in the country.

I don't think they are unbeatable, but there are only a few times I think they have played really well. If they play like they did against VT, we aren't going to have a chance. Fulmer is more likely to get UT prepared, but if Miles gets LSU ready, I think the talent difference will be too big to overcome.

The irony is that LSU could easily handle any potential team challenging them for the NC, but their best competition, by far, comes from within the conference.

And you were two touchdowns behind the second or third worst team in the SCE at about the same point in your own game, correct?

If we get to the SECC game I hope we kick LSUs a$$.

if we get to the championship game, we will beat the tigers. mark it down. i'm not drinking kool aid, i'm just looking at the matchups and it's very even. despite yesterday, i'm starting to like this team. rogan brings some excitement to the s.teams and berry is getting real comfortable on this defense.

Correct, but if we played well like I said we would have a decent shot. Example= Georgia and Arky game. We played well in those games. It's nuts to think we would have no shot in the game like many people across the nation think.

I'm beginning to like this team as well. If they finish strong (W at KY, LSU, and BCS game), we're going to be talking about this team for years to come.... and they are young. We could be watching champions grow in the 2007 sesaon.

Let's keep hoping!
