LSU fans seem to think this is a sure thing, as well as the LSU players and staff.....according to tigerdroppings.com.....it's ridiculous how much they downplay competition. I hope we kill them!

Did you watch us play last weekend?

No the game wasn't on out here on the West Coast. But from the looks of the stats, UAB threw the ball a ton!!! LSU doesn't and or can't throw the ball well. So to me the two aren't comparable at all.

What?
Just because you find some nutbag out on some forum does not mean all the fans or the players or the coaches feel like LSU is going to blow the Vols out of the water.

Matter of fact, most LSU fans think the offense is a complete mess, so no, this is not a done deal. And I don't believe it would surprise most LSU fans if the Vols keep it close or even win. Crowton is going to do whatever he can to keep this game close.

Tigerdroppings is a rant board with a very young demographic. They rant there win or lose. It doesn't represent the average LSU fan very well. Try TigerFan.com, it's a vBulletin board like this one and the members are a bit more realistic than TD.

LSU has a fine and talented team, but they have a flawed offense . . . and flawed teams can be beaten. Most of us are predicting an LSU win at home. But it ain't going to be a cakewalk and it ain't even a sure thing. And I'm damn glad that it ain't in Neyland.

I just don't see how you guys lose this game. LSU had no offense. I think they've had ONE sustained drive for TD this year. Their QB has thrown twice as many interceptions as touchdowns.

The only time they score seems to be when the opponent turns the ball over giving them short field position or special teams makes something happen.

If you guys take care of the football and keep them from getting possession in Tenn territory... Vols WIN

LSU runs twice as much as they pass. Stop the run and they are dead.

you can probably say the same thing about the orange and white

I think I jumped the gun a little to soon, I apologize. The guys on there are a little bit more realistic when you establish a decent reputation as a non hostile fan, but i'll def check out tigerfan.com! Thanks!

as much as I hate for my Vols, they could run this like a spring game and only count points from the LSU defense and special teams and they will still win big.

October 30th in the Coliseum. That will be a tough game. We've beaten them 6 out of the last 10 and they usually play us tough in LA.

Quite frankly all I can think about right now is Stanford Saturday night. I'll be there.......... Stanford whether they are 4-7 or 8-3 always give the Ducks hell. Scrappy little guys. They like to hit hard, so we'll see what happens. That is a game of trench warfare!

I still like you guys against LSU. That point spread is way too big.

Hey ducks. You played a bad sec team. We will show you what a real sec team is like in Dallas next year.

Let's see how you guys do against that "BAD SEC" team Saturday. I suspect you'll have your hands full.:birgits_giggle:

You know we hear this kind of talk every time we play some team that has "had" a lot of tradition. So you may as well get it out of the way now. You know sort of like Michigan did. I think those games finished 31-27 in 2003 and 39-7 in 2007.

We expect to be told we can't compete, we don't have the athletes, we don't have the speed.

So now LSU want's to start the same stuff again. See you in Dallas, we'll let the teams decide. Oh, and please please promise me you'll keep Crowton one more year.

This is exactly what I thought... up until the UAB game. LSU isnt very good. But they are still tons better than UT. We'll see.

GoDucks, I couldn't agree more with what you just said! GO VOLS!!!!

Thanks, Good Luck Saturday. I still think you guy match up really well against LSU.

Your game is on at 12:30 Pacific, I'll probably be in "Game Day" traffic. I've got your game scheduled on my DVR.

We have a real traffic headache Saturday. OSU is 40 miles away and they are playing at home also. So we will have most of about 120,000 fans on the SAME 2 lane Interstate and about the same time. The one hour and 50 minute drive (110 miles) will take around 4 hours or more.

Random Bama fan here.

This one's the pick of the week. LSU is a bad football team. Tennessee's only a thin football team.

It is an easy cover, but I think Tennessee wins outright.
