I just don't see how you guys lose this game. LSU had no offense. I think they've had ONE sustained drive for TD this year. Their QB has thrown twice as many interceptions as touchdowns.

The only time they score seems to be when the opponent turns the ball over giving them short field position or special teams makes something happen.

If you guys take care of the football and keep them from getting possession in Tenn territory... Vols WIN

LSU runs twice as much as they pass. Stop the run and they are dead.

We ain't the 85' Bears exactly on D.

And our O is in about the same shape.

You don't have to be. Just stuff the run on first and second downs and watch the slant from the left. That's where Crowton likes to throw on third and 4 or more.

Remember, he's probably the worst offensive coordinator in recent Duck history. The fans new the plays before the ball was snapped. Tenn defense should be able to handle them.

Actually I would not even worry about the run, contain Ridley maybe Run Bliz early in the count. Other than that, let Ridley get his yards, eventually the OC is going to call a run option with Jefferson which is basically taking a knee.

That is funny. We scream at the TV what the play is going to be. Couldn't agree more with this.

The Key to the game is stay the F away from Peterson... do not punt, kick, run or throw even remotely by him. I am not joking. And when you think the guy he is covering is wide open, he ain't, he's baiting.

What exactly makes you think UT won't do this given the defense they will be going up against?

Keep in mind, we are a team that just gave up 540 yards to UAB. None of this is certain.

I appreciate the vote of confidence...and I will certainly be cheering the vols like every Saturday. But we are just bad right now. Too young, and too thin.

I dont understand why LSU doesnt just concede.

I mean we are unstopable on Defense and our O is a bunch of world beaters.

Oh wait, I think I just ran out of crack.

First, Poole and Oku protect the ball pretty well. Granted, Simms needs to not "lock on" to receivers so quickly. That's the real risk to Tenn.

As for the defense and comparing UAB. UAB knew how to throw the football much better than LSU. So I wouldn't even compare the two.

Think along the lines of the Oregon game. You were up against a team that likes to run the ball and you shut us down for quite a while.

I'm not saying you don't have your work cut out for you. I just think you match up really well with LSU. Just don't make costly mistakes and give them a short field and I think you win.

I just don't understand all the negative fans on this board. You've got a great opportunity to win this weekend.

The last few years have been bad, but you'll never hear me say i dont have faith in the team. We always have a chance in every game and that's how i will always look at it.

Just a bunch of impatient people (mostly young) that are under the impression that winning just happens... they don't appreciate that it requires experience, time/practice, and that a team can actually improve from one week to the next..... one year to the next. They want immediate results and gratification. Its silly.

Dooley, last week, talked about this generation of kids. Talked about how winning is everything and the competitive spirit is lost with them. He stressed how our team is expected not to give up no matter what, but our fan base can't hold themselves to that same standard. Its sad.
