Do not take this guy. LSU should not have even taken him last year. Why is he not staying with them for another year? He is not all that, IMHO.

He's leaving for more $$$ just like every other transfer in the portal. It's wild how late most fans are to adjusting to what is now the new reality of college football. LSU didn't want to lose Suggs. They won't be able to find a better option than him in the portal. He probably wouldn't play the role here that he would have there. But he'll make more money.

We need depth, not superstardom. No tackle that the staff brings in will see the field before the duo of Moi/Hobbs. CRG will still like to be 3 deep in the tackle rotation, not hard to see why he’s searching for DT’s right now.

Right. I am not disputing our need, nor the process, nor second-guessing any decision by CRG or CJH. I just feel like, from my view here in BR, that LSU wasted time and money on this guy, and I hope our Vols go a different route. 🤷

When I saw he’s been to 3 schools it gave me pause as well, I understood where you came from.

I’m in the same camp but I think the space is less a consideration with roster expansion on the horizon soon. Maybe they’re just wanting to get the best one year out of a guy as possible then they think their younger players will be ready to go with some extra time In S&C.

The DL options in the portal don't seem very good this year. Even just for depth. Options seem slim

Was anyone really excited about Moi though last year? Garner and Chop just seem to get the best out of those guys and there’s so many of them they like to compete against each other. Our rotation keeps guys fresh as well.
