LSU to use Peterson on O

Well from what I am learning about your offense...I would think if he is lined up at WR on 3rd and 5 or longer than he will run a quick slant across the middle.

We have good WRs I don't see him as an improvement there.

The only place I could see him is maybe in the wildcat on the goal line... he is super strong and super fast. Basically Tim T. with super speed. Hard to stop on the goal line. Who knows where are stupid OC would use him.

I don't know, I never count this guy out but I just don't like it if it's true. We have plenty of players on O. Unless Peterson can put a headset on and go up in the booth and make play calls I just don't like it. With that said, I never count that guy out... if he can make an impact, he will.

I can't think of his name but I think we used the guy on offense and defense in 2005.

No compiled offensive stats from 2004 and on for any defenders outside of Eric Berry. At least none that the NCAA has kept available to the public.

Mark Jones maybe? He played through 2003.

EDIT:

This has to be who you're thinking of:

Thanks for the insight, will be interesting to see how this develops on Saturday.

2003 - Games/Started: 13/13 ... The most versatile player on the Vols' roster, this senior playmaker added the wide receiver position to his already loaded list of responsibilities ... In addition to receiver, was also used in the Vols' defensive Mustang package and on special teams on punt returns and kick coverage units ... Ranked second in the SEC and third nationally with an average of 15.7 yards per punt return during the regular season ... During the regular season, he played 384 offensive snaps, 208 defensive snaps and 70 special teams plays (662 total plays) ... Led the team with 904 all-purpose yards during the regular season ... In the opening game against Fresno State--making his first career start at the wide receiver position--he caught one pass for 12 yards and returned five punts for 56 yards while logging 57 snaps overall ... Made at least one big play in each quarter against the Bulldogs, making a touchdown-saving tackle on a punt return, knocking Fresno State out of field goal range by forcing intentional grounding on a blitz, making an open-field tackle on third down and setting up UT's final points with a 29-yard punt return ... Caught four passes for 35 yards and also made a tackle during the win over Marshall ... Was on the field for 73 snaps against the Thundering Herd ... In the Florida game, he snagged his third career interception to stop a Gator drive and had the longest run of the day on a 24-yard reverse....

I was wrong about the year, 2003.

Les is the master of disinformation, fellers. He's making your DC have to consider Peterson and waste valuable practice time on it. LSU isn't likely to risk an All-American's health by making him play three ways. And as much as Peterson would like to have a Heisman trophy, he'd like even more to be uninjured and ready to be one of the top draft NFL draft picks.

Stupid move. They have plenty of talent on O, it's just poorly employed and dragged down by a sorry QB. Dude can't stay hydrated as it is today. Making that worse is absolutely stupid.

This I can believe. There's not a whole lot to be surprised by with lsu's offense lately.

Agree BPV.

Off topic, I've had a few deflating moments in Neyland. Watching the Mark Jones TD catch called back against Georgia is probably in my top 5.

I was just about to post the same thing till I ran across this post. Just something to worry a discombobulated defense.
