That doesn't mean it's still not Raliegh-speak.
Raliegh is obviously trying to use the fact that the Vols were leading in the 5th of a game they lost 15-5 as some sort of positive. It reminds of post game analysis by Vanderbilt football coaches, talking about how close the game was in the 3rd quarter of a game they lost 42-7. In the end, it was a butt-kicking as usual.
