burned by two coaches in 2 years?!?! wow that would suck.
I thought the pumping gas comment was pretty stinking funny.
Obviously Jeffrey didn't think so. What about in regards to the bash on the pahokee community, what that funny as well? That's pretty pathetic considering he said he wanted to build a recruiting pipeline in that area. But then again he said a lot of things..

Why? You meet them?
What is the dooley buyout if he leaves after a year or two for georgia or lsu?
Are you playing devil's advocate to make the point that no one here can state with any degree of certainty whether either of these coaches is more honest/ethical than the other? Because clearly, unless someone on the board has had Kiffin kick him in the balls and steal his wallet, only to see Dooley run up from behind, tackle Kiffin, retrieve the wallet, then return it to the Volnationer, along with an ice pack for his marbles, then there's no room for argument with you on that point.
But, just for fun, speculate with me for a moment. Taking into account anything you've heard either coach say, any speeches/interviews you've heard/read, everything that you have read/heard about either coach, past and present, who would you guess has greater integrity? Assuming that you're asked to make a judgment call, obviously not knowing either personally, what would you say?
See, I've got no problem with him taking the Southern Cal job. None. No problem with the timing, nothing. This is a business and anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding himself. If I get offered a higher paying job tomorrow, that's better for my family, I'm taking it.
I don't have a problem with him recruiting/signing Ambles, or "stealing" Glen Stanley from us.
What I believe is unethical, dishonest, immoral, etc... is his promise that he would not do it. Orgeron at USC, on the phone with Vol recruits who are in the Kiffin announcement meeting, urging them not to go to class the next day so that they can be eligible to sign with USC? That's dispicable, but not unethical on its own... except that Kiffin promised it wouldn't happen. That's my main problem with the guy.
There are other things that reinforce that opinion of him - his claiming no knowledge of Orgeron doing that, the allegations of what went on in recruiting at USC when he was there before, the myriad fans/staff members at Oakland (not Al Davis) who call him a liar - although that, admittedly, is heresay.
I do find it interesting that Sark turned the job down before they offered it to Kiffin. I don't really know what to read into it, if anything, but it does intrigue me.
Also, for the record, I read (somewhere on Volnation, I believe), that Knox is a family name - a grandfather or great grandfather on his mom's or dad's side. I have no idea of the veracity of that, but I wanted to throw it out there.
Everyone needs to calm down about coaches leaving. What has happened here is you were dating a woman, everything was great you thought... All the while your girl was comparing you to her old boyfriend, even referring to you as him (remember USC East), you were in love, could only see the great days ahead. Then you come home and she tells you it's over, she is leaving you for the love of her life. Now every girl you date is going to do the same thing... Not true, originally you tried to make a tramp into a house wife, now you have a good girl who has your back. X was the tramp, Dooley the good one... Now it all makes sense... Dooley will be a Vol for a long time!

Look, I'm not saying Kiffin is Saint Peter. You can debate all you want about ethics and that's fine. I just don't know how you can claim somebody is more "moral" than somebody when you have never met them. That is basically my point. For all we know, Dooley could be cheating on his wife with every girl he sees and Kiffin could be in church every time the doors are open. Hell, we all thought Tiger was a decent person before Thanksgiving 2009. Now I'm going to stop arguing about it b/c it has nothing to do with the OP.
By the way, the other two candidates are not goin down to LSU.
1) Del Rio is a pro coach. Even if Jax fires him, he'll get another NFL job soon.
2) Harbaugh is licking his chops at the chance for the Michigan job. Rodriguez has to win a minimum of 8 games this year or he's gone. And their #1 candidate is Harbaugh. That's why Hamilton had no chance of bringing him here.
