Bama is always a major player.

Oh what a difference a decade makes.... In 2002 Bama was not a player at all and nowhere to be seen and we were the powerhouse. It is all about to come around again. Auburn and LSU will be where we have been in just a few short seasons. We are on the way back and hopefully doing it the right way...GBO

The only downfall for LSU that I can think of is Miles. The luckiest man in college football history.

this. i have wondered if they would fall faster if he left or he stayed and let his mistakes catch up with him.

LSU would be better IMO if they were to get rid of Miles. It's such an easy job to attract elite talent and they could get a big name coach easily. They'd probably win 3-4 SEC titles and 2-3 national titles a decade.

I wish Saban would go back LSU just to screw Alabama!

I think they should find another DiNardo (spelling may not be right).

They'd have a good chance at it with a good coach.

4 SEC championships and 3 NC a decade. Meaning Bama, UGA, UF, UT, etc would split 6 conference titles. No, I seriously doubt it.

UF had 4 in the 90's when the SEC was a complete different animal .

Lol, yea LSU wouldn't do that well. However, I don't see Miles going anywhere after this season especially if they beat Bama this year. They beat Oregon and Bama, they'll be going to the SECCG and then to a NC game.

The absolute best coach in the history of the game won 3 national titles in two different decades. No other coach has ever done it.

What makes you LSU (or anyone) could dominate like that?

Who is this best coach of all time? I know LSU won two NCs with two different coaches. With better Qb play they would win more. A different coach would have a much better offensive system than what Miles is running. Russell Sheppard and Randle should be monsters right now but they are only half way there. Sheppard definitely didn't get the ball enough. He could take over a lot of games. Randle is a beast in his own right but I guess the great Miles couldn't recruit a QB better than Jefferson or Lee. But Saban had Russell and whoever the backup guy who was pretty good(name slipped my mind) down there. Saban was much more dangerous at LSU than he is at Bama. Those LSU teams looked like pro teams.

Agreed, mainly because they have a coach that can maximize his players' talent. Give Mullen LSU or Georgia's roster, and he would be dangerous!
