FWIW - LSU is now ranked 10th in Coaches poll, and ranked 12th in AP.

It would be a huge upset if CDD could pull it off.

Holy crap. Third and chavis actually has the defense numbers not looking bad at all. I just didn't see it when they played north Carolina.

Yeah, Chavis has LSU ranked 9th in total Defense. The talent he has on that roster though is unbeleivable.

They dont need much of an offense, their D, special teams and home field is all they need. IMO we have a better shot of beating Bama at home than we do LSU on the road.

This is the same team that damn near gave it back to UNC from the ACC. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Dont punt to the guy.

First road game though, Simms had better have his head screwed on tight.

His OL and RB better pass block and his WR's better catch the balls that hit them in the hands.

Don't punt to him.
I don't think I'd ever punt to anybody. I never understand when teams kick it high down the middle of the field to the fastest guy on the other team. I'd rather gain the 35-40 yards of field position on a rugby kick or a kick out of bounds than than kick it 50 and try to bottle up a return man.

I know people hated Chavis, but he's a great coach. Flame away

I think he grew into the job his first two years, but yeah, I think his contribution to the team in 1998 was even more important than Cut's. Chavis was Chief.
