He said that LSU has put together a collective and has $1M in it. He said they know they are just getting started and they are behind the 8 ball. He said there are a lot of big time names on the list but they don’t want it to be public and the top 1% on the list are anonymous. He said Gordon is on a island of his own when it comes to NIL.

Talk about being behind…..

It’s just a phrase. And it’s a new coach. They literally are just getting started. And the money is there. They aren’t “behind” any other first year coach.

Since when has LSU's athletic department ever needed a collective in order to funnel massive sums of money to their athletes? Pffft.

This is "The University of Strong A$$ Offers" we're talking about here. They're not behind. Hell, they're lapping the field.

This is why Kelly is demanding a rule change. They're behind and he knows it will cost them recruits.

The coaches opposing NIL all have a selfish agenda. They don't oppose it for purist reasons. They oppose it because it is a disadvantage to them. Either it puts them behind or it threatens to let other programs compete and catch up talent wise in the case of Saban et al. Many at the NCAA offices oppose it simply because it could make them irrelevant.

With Saban, you need to remember that a year ago, he was publicly boasting of how much money Bryce Young was going to make from his NIL deal. It wasn't until he saw how aggressive the collectives associated with Texas A&M and Tennessee were going to be, that he complained about the lack of NIL regulation.

Yeah, gut feeling. I just think he’s not the right kind of person for LSU. Have you seen the fake accent he’s used in press conferences? It’s pretty funny. I just don’t think he fits the culture of psycho LSU fans.

He may not be able to recruit that area well, but he's a pretty good coach. If he can't recruit, I'd expect him to do pretty decent until he runs out of Ed O.'s players.

He will never fit in at LSU
He has never had a harder schedule.
The Tiger faithful will have a short short leash when he drops games he shouldn’t.
People give way to much credit to him for his work at ND. When they weren’t playing inferior teams they weren’t good and or really bad.

He’ll be fired.

Kelly's a proven winner at this point. Y'all hope he fails, I do too, because it makes our road easier but it's just hope right now.
